The People's Hero Posted 6 November 2005 Posted 6 November 2005 Is it always as eerily quiet as it was at the Southampton game? Only really the presence of Dennis Wise provoked any expression of anything at all from the fans.

The People's Hero Posted 6 November 2005 Author Posted 6 November 2005 I see. I suppose it is a little unnecessary when the option is there to sit in silence. Admittedly I did just that. But I was hungover. And bored.

And bored. I was a bit too! But when we all sang "Craig Leviens Blue And White Army" That went for ages! But at least everyone joined in!
The People's Hero Posted 6 November 2005 Author Posted 6 November 2005 About 2 minutes or something... Impressive for us though I suppose.

Yeah about that but i had to stop after a while cuz my hands where starting to hurt after all that clapping! Hopefully we should beat a record by the end of season if we carry on like that!
SystonFox Posted 6 November 2005 Posted 6 November 2005 "Stand up if you hate Wisey" has to be one of the best chants so far this season. was it me or did the whole ground stand up? im sure the A & L side were standing? they dont usually join in too much, except for L1? except for that it wasnt too great. for once i heard the away fans. they were chanting "who are ya?" (so original)
Scow Posted 6 November 2005 Posted 6 November 2005 I didn't stand up, so that means I don't hate Dennis Wise? That chant was embarrassing. That played straight in to his hands. He was quite clearly loving it.
Durnerz Posted 6 November 2005 Posted 6 November 2005 If the fans showed as much passion to our team as they did to Dennis Wise maybe we'd get somewhere.

He was quite clearly loving it. no by all means stay sat down. it was just a bit of fun and i couldnt see 1 person who was still sitting. he loved it maybe, i couldnt see him, but that 3 minutes or so was fantastic. i just wish more people would stand when its "STAND UP IF YOU LOVE LEICESTER!" do you?

It doesn't have any feeling to it though. The only time I felt that chant was apt was when we were losing 1-0 at home to Manchester United, on the verge of relegation (2001/2002 season at Filbert Street). Virtually the whole ground stood up and demonstrated our support for the team, despite our impending fate. Whenever the chant: 'Stand up if you love Leicester' starts up, the feeling just isn't there.

Althought we were relegated it was an amazing match, loved it due to that atmospher and the chant you have mentioned!

Now its used & abused - it just highlights the poor originality we suffer these days

Wise was smirking away, but the way fans were having a go at him was with real venom & hatred

He looked like a little kid who'd sworn at someone for the first time.

IDEA OR IKEA Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 My thoughts exactly. Its was the worst atmosphere for the season - on one of the so called big games - the whole of my section was like a library - thats what was embarrasing!
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 Its was the worst atmosphere for the season - on one of the so called big games - the whole of my section was like a library - thats what was embarrasing! I dunno Burnely was quite dyer for atmmosphere.
City_4_Life Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 The atmosphere would be better if we was fighting for a play off place and promotion but we are stuck in mid-table at the moment and that aint helping. Dont get me wrong there are some fans that really do try and get the atmosphere going and i have full respect for them for trying, but it is the other set of fans that dont sing when we aint doing well. Maybe if them fans instead of moaning that we aint playing well, actually did get behind the team and make the walkers satdium a hard place to come and play for away teams, then i think we will play better, win more games at home and rise up the table.
Scow Posted 7 November 2005 Posted 7 November 2005 I dunno Burnely was quite dyer for atmmosphere. Bruce Dyer.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2005 Posted 8 November 2005 Bruce Dyer. Was Actually thinking of Kieron.
