I don’t rate Mendy that’s true but I don’t wanna get in to that again and it wasn’t just aimed to him that comment, I don’t rate Hamza either and then we are looking to reserves.

We just can not afford to lose Wilf or Tielemens for more than a few games, simple as that.

A few games, makeshift maybe but if they are out for a prolonged period of time then we won’t be anywhere near the top 6.

I don’t think maybe people truly realise how good Wilf and Youri are, and we have no chance of top 4/win trophies with the back up we have to them. Just my personal opinion.

Praet is a huge miss for me as despite not being the level of those 2 above, he’s what I see as a ‘competent replacement’.

@HighPeakFox I agree with you, except I’d actually argue more ‘to a degree’ to Vardy and Ndidi and Tielemens as essential.

Since Wilf has come back we have won 8 games 2 draws 1 loss.
The Loss was with his at CB, the draw vs Palace was without him playing and 1 win Bs Sheffield Utd he only played 20 mins(1-1 at the time though).

So breaking it down to him in his CM role

7 wins 1 draw 0 losses. The draw being vs an in form Man Utd.

The Wilf/Youri combination is so key to us being a a top team.

I quite agree that Ndidi is a beast - my only attempt to back my argument up is that at least we have a Mendy in his place. And like, you, I'm not looking to get into all that again :) Hopefully you've noticed a change of approach by me now.

Not bothered about getting into it, everyone’s entitled to their opinion in my book.

I do realise how good Youri and N’Didi are, they’re integral to the way we play. While I don’t disagree that should they be injured we’d suffer a lot.

My point was more that, most teams are experiencing this at the moment and we’re in a fortunate position to have almost a full squad to choose from.

The injury to Praet was unfortunate but the likelihood of having two players of his quality in reserve in case of injuries is unlikely ever to happen.

Yes me too, In regards to slating Mendy. Yes I don’t think he’s good enough, but to be fair, who is when Wilf is so good. He’s actually got even better since he’s come back it’s scary!

I mean yeah I hope we could cope, and I’m aware you could say that about many teams the way I talk about Wilf/Youri(Man Utd would drop without Bruno/Rashford and Spurs without Kane/Son) So it’s not really just us, but I do feel injures are key in general and whoever loses there best players might be the difference whether they can challenge or not!! But I really do think these 2 are outrageous talents and I fear we might lose them if we don’t achieve top 4 at least.

Very hard to argue with any of that

We will win the epl.  The other teams have weaknesses and will falter.  Man citeh and manure are playing well... their form will drop off. Liverpool are mentally finished. I put my money on last week at 35 to 1.

We know we can do it
