I taped everything to do with the FA Cup yesterday onto an exernal HDD on my LG TV and am looking at Github repositories trying to figure out how to decrypt the files, bloody annoying.

I would love to be able to keep a version of the whole BBC coverage of the day. Used to be able to when you could put things on VHS tapes from the TV, now the footage is gone if you give up your Sky subscription or whatever.

If you’re on Mac or Linux there’s a neat program called Get iPlayer Automator that lets you download stuff from iPlayer as regular mp4 files. Got a copy of the match saved for future viewing!
