Stunning mate, where is this?

I'm in Dolgellau, Snowdonia.

The first two are (as Line-X said) the Blue lake, Arthog.

The second is Llyn Cau (cader Idris)

The third is Cregennan lake (Cader Idris)

There are hundeds in the hills around here though.

How cold is a cold shower? Do you mean straight from the mains or low temp with electric shower?

Do you have a resource for the health benefits and implementation of this, I would love to know more.

Some recent research suggests that swimming in cold water protects the brain from dementia.

The first two are the same lake which you can get to with a 20 minute walk and through a tunnel in the rock.

The third one is isolated and about an hours walk in the hills and the last (tarty photo) is just up the road from my house.

Wow very nice. A nice sunrise swim in there followed by a nice hot cuppa tea. Heaven

Nah, you have it back to front.

A nice sunset swim, a fat spliff, and munchies cooked over a camp fire is what you need.

Carry on with them in the colder month's, there's definitely a benefit.

Only gets down to 20C!

My water's out in a tank in the backyard and doesn't get much cooler!!

I'm off to Finland at the end of the month though and have been told I am doing the sauna and lake ice water thing. Gulp!
