What's the deal with ticket ballots then?

 

I've just got a membership and had an email that I can enter the ballot for West Ham.

 

There's only 60 tickets available, but worth entering.

 

Does this happen for every away game?

Yes members get a chance to enter a ballot for every away game. Can't do any harm assuming you want to go to the games.

 

West ham being a Monday probably presents a good chance of success as well.

I got crazy lucky with these in the 19/20 season before lockdown - got villa, Sheffield United and man United.  I think a lot of members forget it's an option after a few games so the odds aren't as poor as they look.

Yes - the ballot isn't affected by priority points so you should get an email.  I don't think they always sent one last season so worth just checking regularly on the website as they could go on at quite short notice.

Can anyone else actually enter the ballot?

 

I've had the email and pressed enter ballot on it but it just takes me to the away ticket section. Can't actually see mention of ballot on there let alone entering it.

 

When I click on the ballot section of the website, it says no events?

Ballot entry was only open for the West Ham game until midday today.

Quite typical for the ballot window to only be open for a day or so, so you need to be right on top of your emails and ticket detail announcements in order to enter them.

Im finally a ST holder now for the new season but in recent times when I was a member I got lucky in 2 ballots - Chelsea and Palace away in 19/20. Applied for maybe 5 aways that season but got lucky in 2.

Was searching to see if these were still a thing because of the lack of information and it turns out I was unsubscribed from all emails so I didn't even get notified about it  

 

Didn't really think I was able to drive down to London for this one anyway, all set up now.

Doesn't seem to let me enter. Just get error message saying I can't get a ticket even though I have a membership..

 

 

The quantity of tickets owned by _____ exceeds limitations! You will need to assign some tickets to a different supporter.
Sorry, you cannot buy tickets to event Norwich City v Leicester City Ballot 28/08/2021 15:00.
This may be because this supporter has purchased a ticket already or doesn't qualify to purchase yet.
Sales to this event are limited to 0 tickets per item owner.

How does the ballot work? It tells me I am not allowed to 'purchase' a ballot

Just done mine, no problems at all.
