Milky Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 in my opinion it was disgusting. he's a centre back and has been slated because of his performances at left back! do you think leveins comments were justified?
Anish Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 No justified at all. I tell you what, let's play Alan Maybury up front or Elvis Hammond in defence and see how they perform. Then let's publicly chastise them too. It's Levein's fault that Johansson's not playing well, he's not a LB ffs!
Durnerz Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Leveins lost it, like tonight in his interview on Sky when he said the players were nervous thats why they dropped deep late on, well maybe if you hadnt taken off the one player that wanted to take the ball away from our goal Craig we wouldn't have had that situation! And oh yes, he brings on the idiot thats most likely to gift Watford a goal through a rash tackle that leads to a set play and they score, fookin marvellous. Levein should go I think.
ROSSINDA Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 I'm with Anish, I think it's a disgrace. Me too
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Author Posted 23 November 2005 It was hardly an attack though was it. just a figure of speech for god's sake. ok, i admit, he didn't smack him over the head continuously with a baseball bat then shit down his throat. it was unprofessional from levein, especially as it was his own fault for playing him out of position.
ROSSINDA Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 It was hardly an attack though was it. ????? please explain
Louise Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 just a figure of speech for god's sake. ok, i admit, he didn't smack him over the head continuously with a baseball bat then shit down his throat. it was unprofessional from levein, especially as it was his own fault for playing him out of position. All Levein said was that Johansson had made a few mistakes at left-back and that he was going to give someone else a go there, hardly verbal attack. Stop blowing it out of proportion
Jimmy Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 actually louise levein said nills dint hold up his end, basically blaming the loss on him
Milky Posted 23 November 2005 Author Posted 23 November 2005 actually louise levein said nills dint hold up his end, basically blaming the loss on him then he left him out of the hole squad
ROSSINDA Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 All Levein said was that Johansson had made a few mistakes at left-back and that he was going to give someone else a go there, hardly verbal attack. Stop blowing it out of proportion Here you go Louise. Have a read and see if I have blown it out of proportion Quote "Nils-Eric Johansson failed to uphold his part in the back four and that's why he came off," Levein said ahead of tonight's home game with Watford. "I don't often name players for something like that but I felt he let us down a bit on Saturday and has done on one or two other occasions. "That opens up an opportunity for someone else to come in because I think we can get better defensively - and if someone takes his position they will stay in."
Louise Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Do you actually class that as an attack? I don't see anywhere there where he blames Johansson for the defeat, he just says that he didn't play well and was subbed.
lush Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 in my opinion it was disgusting. he's a centre back and has been slated because of his performances at left back! do you think leveins comments were justified? Justified IF johanson was in on it. I just cannot believe that even craig would shit on a good player because he wasnt playing well enough in a false position.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Do you actually class that as an attack? I don't see anywhere there where he blames Johansson for the defeat, he just says that he didn't play well and was subbed. I'm with you on this one. I think Johansson has started every game this season, whether it be centre back or left back, and I feel Craig might just be trying to show the team that nobody's place is assured. He hardly rips into Johansson though. He says "I felt he let us down a bit on Saturday". It's not like he's blaming the whole defeat on him. Anyway, it's important that some of the younger players like Stearman and Sheehan are kept in the picture. They both need to play to improve and they both need to be given hope that there will be chances made available for them to take if they work hard enough. Sheehan seems to be establishing himself in the reserves but it would be a step backwards if Stearman went back to playing for the reserves week in, week out. It's important that he is given first team opportunities and the knowledge that his time will come, eventually.
Thracian Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Do you actually class that as an attack? I don't see anywhere there where he blames Johansson for the defeat, he just says that he didn't play well and was subbed. It's scathing. And probably terminal.
ROSSINDA Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 It's scathing. And probably terminal. I hope is not terminal he is a dame good defender as all the other games he has played in have shown
Chimp Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Leveins lost it, like tonight in his interview on Sky when he said the players were nervous thats why they dropped deep late on, well maybe if you hadnt taken off the one player that wanted to take the ball away from our goal Craig we wouldn't have had that situation! Stearman caused the free kick by pushing the Watford player in the back, not Tiatto.
Ric Flair Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 No justified at all. I tell you what, let's play Alan Maybury up front or Elvis Hammond in defence and see how they perform. Then let's publicly chastise them too. It's Levein's fault that Johansson's not playing well, he's not a LB ffs! I disagree. Nissa has played alot at left back throughout his career and it's not new to him. He's obviously spoke out of turn because he's not at centre back and Levein has then watched him have a shocking game at Burnley so cracked the whip. I think it's fair enough, it's time Levein got tough with them. Most of our players are a bunch of wankers and need a good kicking.

Whats the story morning glory?

I think it's fair enough, it's time Levein got tough with them. Most of our players are a bunch of wankers and need a good kicking. Ditto. And as a professional player switching from CB to LB shouldn't be so difficult. Those playing at lower levels are perfectly capable of this, so why not Nissa?
Thracian Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Stearman caused the free kick by pushing the Watford player in the back, not Tiatto. I think the real truth is the only one who thought that challenge was a free-kick was the whistle-happy referee. I was right alongside the incident and it looked a perfectly fair and routine challenge. I reckon half the free-kicks he gave were to give himself a rest. Tiatto's challenge, moments before, was a classic - an early start towards his regular bid for two falls, two submissions or a knockout. As entertainment it was a good un. The Watford bloke's still coming down.
