I used to sell Fridge Freezers back in the day and we always abbreviated them as FFs

That was in the days before text slang :D

Thought FF was short for Fred Flintstone in your time….

Marks Electrical.

Plenty of fridge/freezers at varying prices & he's a Leicester City fan.

Looks a good option - unfortunately I am without car to get out there on Saturday, hence looking in town. Will definitely bear in mind for online orders though!

Tis no more

https://www.which.co.uk/news/2022/03/john-lewis-to-scrap-never-knowingly-undersold-price-promise-this-summer/

Shoppers will no longer be able to claim through John Lewis’ famous ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ price-match policy when the department store retires it this summer, after nearly a century. Since the policy only offers to price-match rivals with a high-street presence, and not online-only retailers, John Lewis says it is ‘no longer enough’ and it ‘applies to fewer and fewer sales’.

John Lewis is great for TVs (Included 5 year guarantee last I heard)

Depends on what you're after.  I ended up going to Richer Sounds for my Panny plasma as they threw in a free bluray player at the time.

If you end up buying a decent TV, it will sail past the warranty window without any trouble anyhow.

10 years on and still my plasma looks better than over half the TVs in Currys.  lol

Fair enough, think I am still stuck in early plasma days. lol

The Panasonic ZT60 was released in 2013 and there is very little out there that matches that currently.  I ended up getting the model a couple down from that one and it's been an excellent buy.  I wouldn't consider changing a plasma until absolutely necessary!

Edit:  You've now got me looking lol  I see the JZ1500B looks pretty decent.  Lots of reviews of people shifting from the 10 yr old plasmas to these and noticing the improvements.  Looking at around 1.5k - 2k for one of these though.

Keep looking in John Lewis when we pass through the TV section, but my appetite for the fight with the missus is too low these days.   lol

(Plus ours works fine really…)

True but the higher power output on the plasmas in comparison to the newer OLEDs might change her mind, saving on electric costs.  I'll try this tactic with mine lol
