Anybody knows if FIFA eventually increased squads from 23 to 26 players for the World Cup? I hope it stayed at 23. There's a chance Madisson and Barnes will be called just for filling the squad. I'd rather have them stay here training.

Jannik Vestergaard - Will play for Denmark.
Nampalys Mendy - Will play for Senegal and they're in a fairly easy group.
Wilfred Ndidi - Nigeria didn't qualify.
Timothy Castagne - Might make the Belgian squad.
Patson Daka - Zambia didn't qualify.
Luke Thomas - Won't make the England squad.
Eldin Jakupović - Hasn't played for Switzerland since 2008.
Boubakary Soumaré - Won't make the France squad.

I had absolutely no idea that Jakupovic was Swiss!!  Or that he played for us 

 

Timmy will definitely play for belgium but looks bang on other than that.

As disappointed as I am we've missed out on European competition next season, looking at that schedule it might be the best one to miss. 

 

We'll not have many impacted by WC call ups and just the league and cups to focus on. A proper pre season after a proper break for the summer, sort out the set piece shambles and we could be in for a cracking season next year.

Could be really good for us. Without Europe and with the majority of our players not going to the WC, we can attack the first half of the season, have a break and then come back and do the same in the second half of the year without needing to rotate too heavily and rest players. 5 subs too in the league, so should hopefully see much more pressing next year and making it a nightmare to play against us.
