I respect the fact he stuck with us so much more than anything else I feel for him or any of our other players. He could have played for much bigger clubs with much more accomplished squads. He didn’t though, and that is extremely rare. Probably even more rare than his actual ability and rise to his pinnacle. He’s a one off and we will miss him sorely.

I think the Arsenal transfer was the only real possible one and in all fairness he’s won more here than he would have there.

LCFC having Vardy, could not be more right time right place than any other signing I can think of. He was on the up, we were on the up, and he amplified that significantly. We were (are) lucky to have him but he was lucky to have our club too. It just worked. Had he joined a PL team at the time he’d have probably failed, had he joined another champ club or a L1 club, it just wouldn’t have been the same to push him on. I think that’s where his loyalty has come from. It’s just a case of knowing where your bread is buttered.

And what absolute joy it’s brought to all parties.

Have a scary feeling tomorrow could be his last game for us .

Wouldn't at all be surprised if this court case goes bad and they decide to go and live in the states, to get away from the British press😒

Apart from any other considerations, I just get the feeling that Jamie will honour his contract with us.  There is also the incentive to surpass Owen in goal tally, but I suspect that matters more to me than it does to him.

Even The Sun article said he’d stay til the end of his contract next summer. I don’t think today will be his last game.

The annoying thing is he could easily have 2-3 more seasons in him we’re going to miss out on because of all this crap.
