filbertway Posted 1 June 2022 Posted 1 June 2022 This is why Rodgers is hopefully no longer getting a say in recruitment - he'd be all over this like a rash. 30+ player, no experience in england, will demand massive wages and signing on fee, no idea how he'll perform. It's one way to operate if we want to go backwards quickly. 1

Young players who have experience in England (and are pf a high enough standard to compete at the level we want) will command huge transfer fees. I think Isco would be a decent signing if we could pull it off

We haven't signed anyone like that during his time here, and I can't recall him doing that at Liverpool or Celtic either. Either way, highly unlikely it'll happen, so I wouldn't worry. Big name player with a great reputation who seems to have lost their way a bit? That's Rodgers transfers 101

I swear I had typed "big reputation player who has lost their way" but obviously just imagined that. So imagine I had actually typed that as well Cambiasso who had played 6500 odd minutes in the previous 2 seasons, while Isco has played about 1500 in his last 2 seasons.

Once again, it's not anything like any of the players he's signed here, and, Balotelli aside, I can't remember him doing that at Liverpool or Celtic? Don't think it was his choice. Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed club owners Fenway Sports Group told him to sign the problematic Mario Balotelli after he had rejected the player. 1
LFox99 Posted 1 June 2022 Posted 1 June 2022 Why is there even a discussion about a random Facebook post claiming something Everyone knows Isco is nowhere near the player he was in 2017
Popular Post Lambert09 Posted 1 June 2022 Popular Post Posted 1 June 2022 (edited) football fans in general are so stupid. As if some of you don’t think he’d be good enough for us. I swear the lions share of people can’t look past form. He is a huge talent and would be great… but it’s never happening. pre-brentford “don’t go near ericksen” post-brentford “ we need to sign him, he’s the missing piece to our puzzle but we can’t compete with champions league football” pre-west ham “if we sign lingard i’ll smear shit on tops face” post west ham “ why didn’t we sign lingard, it’s such an obvious move” pre- leicester “ vestergarde is such a smart piece of business, he’s such a threat from corners” Present day “@!@!@!@@)@! It all comes down to the players attitude, if he wanted to be a success at a new club, he would be. personally i feel like goetze was the one that got away. Would have been a really handy signing for us. Edited 1 June 2022 by Lambert09 5
