City's Other Three Lions Internationals

After James Justin became the 23rd Leicester City player to represent England's senior national team, LCFC.com looks back at the others to have starred for the Three Lions during spells with the Club.

Full-back Justin, 24, made his debut during Saturday's UEFA Nations League clash against Hungary at Puskás Aréna, joining an illustrious list of Foxes players past and present to adorn the country's iconic colours.  

A total of 23 players have taken to the field for England during their time with the Foxes at various points in history. These include Ian Walker (1), Steve Guppy (1), Sep Smith (1), Reg Osborne (1), James Maddison (1), Harvey Barnes (1), Danny Drinkwater (3), Keith Weller (4), Sid Bishop (4), Emile Heskey (5), Hughie Adcock (5), Len Barry (5), Horace Bailey (5), Ernie Hine (6), Gary Lineker (7), Steve Whitworth (7), Frank Worthington (8) and Ben Chilwell (11).

Seems a bit harsh leaving Douglas McWhirter and Ronald Brebner out, especially given as they played for the England team that competed on Britain's behalf in the 1912 Summer Olympics.

We go on about the injustice of Maddison but I am very reliably informed that Sep Smith was easily one of the best midfielders in GB before WW2 and he received one cap. Then there is the mighty Graham Cross. LCFC and England just do not fit.

Didn't Shilton, Whitworth, Weller and Worthington all play together in one England match? The only time Leicester had 4 players in the England team at the same time.
