Former player Remembers - Frank Sinclair (OS)
Incognito replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good old Mad Frank. So much of a legend for us, my 12 year old asks frequently asks "can we watch Mad Frank's own goals on Youtube again?" -
So I had the (mis)pleasure of talking to Martin after the Northampton cup game. I asked him why we don't leave players on the half way line when we defend set pieces (something in the modern game that irks me, no counter!). He told me he'd like to but they have to keep things tight at the back. He then praised Northampton for keeping two up when defending corners. Well I have two issues with this... 1) He's the manager. If he wants us to set up with a man on the half way line for a quick counter, do it! 2) We aren't exactly safe as houses at the back are we?! (admittedly I can't recall a goal against coming from a set piece as of late) I just think he's a walking contradiction.

Relationship between fans and owners/players
Incognito replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Just look at the Lazio fan base at the minute. Not attending home games in protest at their owner. Or like when the Marseille fans forced their match against Rennes in 2021 to be postponed because they invaded the pitch and set off fireworks causing a fire! We are far too passive. I'm not saying we should act like hooligans but you're right - we have people applauding relegations or four nil home defeats. We need to find our voice and quick! Sit in protest? Boycott home games? -
Wes Burns signs for Leicester until 2029 - Official

At least he won the race. Small wins 🤣 -
Might not be the level we would ideally want but could he (and possibly others) go out on loan to the National League (National, North and South) before January? Any senior level football at this point would be more beneficial than playing against other U21s, right?

Josh King looks like he's had a very tough paper round. Looks older than me, poor bugger. -
I think this is where his loan spell at Tranmere last season has given him the edge. Played a couple of dozen games for them, whereas Aluko got minutes here or there.

£5m signing on the bench for the 21s. A PSR fiddle if there ever was one! -

Realistic Managerial Replacements

If its Russel Martin (or Wayne Rooney for that matter), my direct debit is being stopped and they can have my season ticket back. -

I've just seen Brian Little in Freeman's Common branch of Morrisons.... -
Honourable mention for how bad Shaun Newton was. And then we signed him permanently... Leicester City Football Club - making baffling decisions from day dot.

Bang on. We need someone who will dole out some home truths, and drop those who need dropping.
-
Yep its on there. Just listened to it. He's absolutely spot on with every word he said too.

Carranza sent off last night. Goal (albeit via penalty) and a red card in two games. An more enventful week for him than 4 or so months here!
-
Not seen it mentioned, but Claude Puel back managing OGC Nice Press Release

I think that is one of our major concerns. More often than not, when the ball goes in the box, Ayew is AWOL. Has the striking instincts of a sloth.
-
Tbf its more revisionism with him. He was crap and ended up doing time for a pretty violent assault IIRC

Kevin Pressman (just!) John Curtis Wayne Brown Conor Coady Ryan McGivern Joe Mattock Junior Lewis Dennis Wise Kelvin Etuhu Ade Akinbiyi Barry Hayles (I've never understood the love for him) What an utterly horrific team
