New TV

Recommended Posts

My current TV is quite old now so looking to do quite an upgrade

Will mostly be used for gaming of course, but will also be used for just normal TV and Movies

This is the one I am looking at currently…

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/1994823?clickSR=slp:term:lg oled tv:1:110:1

I was looking at this one https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9328295?clickPR=plp:2:39 until I noticed it only has 100hz refresh rate where as the LG has 120hz

Suggestions welcome! Similar price to the above of about £1k

OLED is the only way to go, the new LG EVO panels also have pretty good brightness too. Once you go OLED you never go back, the dark and bright detailed highlights are exceptional.

I always shop at Richer Sounds as you get a 6 year warranty on all purchases and the guys in store are really helpful! The warranty is particularly great, I had a Samsung curved TV which had a light burn issue after about 3 years, they sent someone out and said it couldn’t be fixed for a reasonable price and they would replace the TV. By then that TV was discontinued so they offered me the newer equivalent or the cash value of the newer equivalent, which I put towards an OLED. It only cost me about £200 to upgrade my TV to an OLED after 3 years of ownership. Exceptional customer service.
