Halifax Piece Hall, never been but it's hugely impressive.

I think we're sometimes oikiphobic about the quality of some buildings in Britain. Leadenhall market for example would be a huge attraction the world over but it's not particularly revered here.

Have been here - caught it by accident whilst working in Halifax. Extraordinary building. Also Grade I listed

  · The world eight wonder♥️
Sigiriya ancient rock fortress, Sri Lanka🇱🇰
Sigiriya is considered as one of the world's greatest archaeological and cultural treasures due to its unique and impressive features. It is a remarkable ancient fortress and a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are several reasons why Sigiriya is considered as one of the world's eight wonders:
The location and the setting: The fortress is situated on a massive rock column that rises about 200 meters above the surrounding plain, offering a spectacular and breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.
The engineering marvel: The construction of Sigiriya is a remarkable feat of ancient engineering. The builders of Sigiriya have created an elaborate and sophisticated water management system that still functions today.
The architecture and art: Sigiriya is adorned with beautiful frescoes, graffiti, and landscaped gardens. The design and layout of the fortress are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
The historical significance: Sigiriya is a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the ancient Sri Lankan people. It provides valuable insights into their culture, beliefs, and way of life.
All of these features and more contribute to Sigiriya's status as one of the world's eight wonders.

The Cantalloc Aqueducts, constructed by the Nazca civilization in the arid deserts of Peru over 1,500 years ago, continue to serve their purpose to this day. These aqueducts feature distinctively shaped openings that allow wind to enter and propel water from underground aquifers through a network of underground canals, efficiently delivering water to areas where it is needed the most.

Bailong Elevator, also known as the Hundred Dragons Elevator, is a glass elevator located in the Wulingyuan area of Zhangjiajie, China. It is considered to be the world's tallest outdoor elevator, standing at a height of 326 meters (1,070 feet).
The elevator was built into the side of a cliff in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and it takes visitors up to the top of the cliff where they can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Construction of the Bailong Elevator began in 1999 and was completed in 2002. The elevator has three double-decker cars, each of which can carry up to 50 passengers. It is powered by a system of three powerful motors and is capable of lifting passengers at a speed of 3 meters per second.
The Bailong Elevator is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by thousands of people each year. However, its construction and location have also been controversial due to concerns about its impact on the natural environment and the safety of passengers.

It's got an Initiation Well that leads nine stories below the ground to a secret chamber, a network of underground tunnels, and Freemason iconography as far as the eye can see. And to this day, no one has fully unlocked the mysteries of the shadowy Portuguese palace known as the Quinta da Regaleira:
