"mind your P's and Q's"

Many years ago in England, pub frequenters had a whistle baked into the rim,

or handle, of their ceramic cups. When they needed a refill, they used the

whistle to get some service. "Wet your whistle" is the phrase inspired by

this practice.

I tried.

I failed.

I didn't try but I believe that fact to be partly incorrect.

The other night on Leicester Sound, this woman rang in for a competition or something. Apparently her party trick is licking her elbow!

PS:

Actually, just tried now and I can lick the side of my elbow. Does that count? :P

According to this google hit:

"High hair zinc levels may also be seen with zinc deficiency"

(does this mean that the zinc goes into the hair instead of staying in the body? :P )
