Been fantastic this season, who would have thought? Vestergaard and Ndidi.

 

So many in the transfers thread were saying that these were amongst the players we absolutely HAD to get rid off this transfer window.

 

But given a decent framework to work in and used to their strengths and maybe most importantly, believed in, they have stepped up in style.

 

Early days of course, but for me the biggest thing for me about EM's City Vs BR's City isn't the signings, it's the improvement he's brought from players we wanted gone.

 

Hugely impressed.

Ndidi in this role? Jannik as the lynchpin? Never would have thought it in a million years

Coady will have a real battle to get in the team.

Any manager who can get vesty looking good, can turn Ndidi into a dynamic attacking midfielder and sees captain material in Hamza deserves a knighthood!

I know you were joking, but you’ve highlighted another aspect of great management.

 

Players know unambiguously where they stand under this manager. Ward is nowhere near the team and is not left in any doubt where he is in the pecking order. 
 

I get the feeling that Brendan would have been everyone’s mate and fed them mixed messages. This must be even more frustrating when you’re not in the team if the manager is giving you the impression that you will be
