Robert (Bobby/Bobbie) Anderson (LCFC 1945-1948) - NOT THE GOALKEEPER

Hi All.

 

I know there are some LCFC History buffs on here, so...

 

I'm looking for more detailed info and pictures of a Robert Anderson, Scottish Born, playing for Leicester it appears mostly in the 1946-1948 Period. He was a winger, widely known as Bobbie. I've found a few stats on him online but no images and very little information. He doesn't seem to appear in any of the squad photo's I've managed to find from the period.

 

He is the grandfather of someone I work with and I'm trying to do a nice thing (occasionally I try to do nice thing) and find a picture of him in kit from the period and any detailed information about him.

 

If anyone can help me I'd be grateful!

I used to work with his daughter.  I remember showing her his entry in Fossils not long after he died.  Her son Robbie came into our place to work on the odd occasion to earn a bit of cash during school holidays - I wonder if that’s the grandchild you’re referring to?

The grandchild I work with is called Claire - I'll have to find out who her siblings are!
