You can sort of understand the move in the womens game. Rangers and Glasgow City regularly hit double figures goals in their matches and Celtic aren't far off either.

If it is just Celtic and Rangers though that's harsh, Glasgow City have been the established womens side for longer, and currently in the league Celtic sit 5th

Also as an aside, scheduling of womens games is still shocking isn't it. How hard would it have been for the game tonight to not be played on exactly the same day/time as a mens fixture?

Would have loved to go, live in Notts so nice and easy... but no... pretty sure it was the same last round too?

*Didn't realise about the postponement, the last game at Notts County was definitely a clash though.

I have no doubt thats one of the reasons for this.  Its all money oriented(of course).  The idea of rangers and celtic in the premier league would be a massive money spinner.

I think the only thing that has stopped it happening in the past is the Police.  Wouldn't surprise me if they cut some deal about paying the extra police cost.

Have to say I'm against it but would find it slightly amusing to see hordes of glaswegians descending every week.

I'm sure they'll be watching the villa v celtic and Utd v Rangers games coming up......lots of trouble and it will be a huge blow to their plans.  If it all goes off well it might be a sign of things to come.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that one issue was that Scottish teams wouldn't be allowed to qualify for UEFA competitions if they moved to a league in another country.

Expected her to go somewhere a bit better than Spurs, shame really but I’ve always rated Jani as the slightly better keeper.
Hopefully we’ve still got Becky Dowsett on the books.

Kop certainly deserves to be starting somewhere and she's better than either of the Spurs keepers so it's a good move for her and them.

Presumably a January transfer involves a fee, but without knowing how much it's difficult to know if it's a good move for Leicester.  On the face of it they are left exposed if Leitzig picks up another injury.

I think the last time they said they wouldn't allow it as they have their own domestic competition.  I guess you can look to the Australia A league as an example when they allowed New Zealand teams to enter but that was because there was no real structured league there.

Oddly people forget that Gretna played in the english pyramid for decades, not sure if the rules still allow scottish teams to enter non league pyramid?

I guess if we're looking at possible ways of it happening would be a merger between the FA and the SFA.  Unlikely but i'd imagine that would allow for scottish teams to play in the English professional leagues.

UEFA and FIFA would love it if the 4 British FAs merged

Has Rudkin got his tentacles in transfers and contract with the women team?

If not I may switch to watching the lasses play.

The director on the women’s side cleared off in December.

I don’t know if Rudkin is involved now she’s moved on.

Nelly Las has always been really good when I've seen her in England youth teams.  The early signs are that she can do it in the WSL too.

A bit damning on the rest that a 17 year old instantly looks like one of the best players though.
