I questioned that a player having a particular skill set does not mean they can’t be a very good player at that level. If you use them to that skill set, they are a vital part of the machine.

 

I also said if we can make a profit and remove his wages, then yeah let’s not turn that down.

 

But, we have so many players who have such an awful mentality, put zero effort in and won’t offer us anything next season. We need players willing to put a shift in and get stuck in, making us hard to beat. Choudhury for me, is not at the top of our problems list and we won’t move everyone on and have a completely new squad overnight despite many thinking this is remotely realistic so it’s a case of who would we be content if they were still here. There’s a number of them I just would lose interest come the opening day of the season if they are still around and in the starting line up.

Watched Worksop Town yesterday,Ben Grist had a steady game,clearly playing to instructions.

He has a bit of pace and looked o.k , nothing more but good experience for him.

Probably a 6.5 performance.

Braybrooke at Dundee and now Wilson-Brown at Kilmarnock not really good adverts for us sending prospects to Scotland. Waste of time, keep them nearer.

 

Oxford are doing a great job with Nelson.

Coady will be hard to shift unless it’s a loan with us paying most of his excessive wages.

Vestergarrd and Faes may be more amenable to a lower wage to play top flight somewhere.

World cup next year.
