Yeh agree. Suppose it’s a case of a lack of confidence throughout the whole team rather than them all lacking the quality. Saying that though Okoli has always looked a bit suspect. He has room to improve and obviously he’s rated in Italy so he must have some potential there. Hopefully he improves along with the whole team.

How either player managed to become top league professional footballers in a system where only a very tiny percentage of very capable footballers even make the professional grade is mind boggling. 

Plenty of players from their generation and before have made it based on physical attributes alone.

Lascelles has to come in now (though Nelson hardly covered himself in glory today but he offers so much more), or a back 3 which is what usually happens when the centre backs are crap.

Wayne Brown was pretty much brexit football and not exactly Pirlo! 

 

Okoli looks worse as he’s trying to play a brand of football he simple can’t play. May as well play Choudhury at Centreback.
