No this isn't a dig at the current team and their performances...

I've just been sent me a message with the below screenshot of an article about my grandad going to the 1963 FA Cup Final 7 weeks after a motorbike accident where he broke his leg:

Really can't fault his dedication! Also, 13 years ago, my sister went to, I believe, MK Dons away when she was a full 9 months pregnant (she's still convinced that it's the stress of that game that induced her labour the next day!) And it got me thinking of there was ever I time you went to a city game where you probably shouldn't have done for health reasons, but you were just that dedicated to the club that you couldn't miss out?

Not for health reasons but I remember crossing Alaska in 2013 to get to the Boro game when it snowed, think there was 8K in all.

I had flu at Yeovil about 10 years ago when I remember Nudge and I think Lloyd Dyer scoring - I'm at the far end clung to a barrier meekly raising my right arm in the air when we score

We won 2-1 so totally worth it

Although not directly me, one of my colleagues changed an operation date so I could go to Madrid.

I probably should have just said 'nah honestly you don't need to do that' rather than rushing to send my pals my passport details lol

The UK lifted all COVID travel restrictions the day I was due to fly out to Aarhus for the Randers game (pub, sadly, I booked a flight and then realised there'd only be around 400 away tickets), so I masked up while feeling awful and headed to Denmark.Didn't feel well enough to make the trip to Turf Moor a few days later lol

We played Wolves first home game of the season a few years’ back (2018-19).

We were in Copenhagen that morning, flying back to Manchester and due in at about 11.00 - obviously the trip had been planned before the fixtures were released!

If the flight left on time, landed on time and there were no delays at Manchester Airport, I’d be home for 12/12.15 with time to do the 2 hour drive to Leicester.

Went like a dream! 2-0 by the way.

Apologies for the slightly off topic post.

Not me but tonight, for many thousands of Leicester fans.....

Yes I admire their loyalty tonight and up to £48 for a ticket to watch Ward and the Resi's - it was a game too far for me that's for sure - bracing myself for Saturday

So you were the one that I caught it from lol

I dragged myself up to the top of the West Stand for the 4-0 NottsF match struggling to breathe climbing up the steps. Knew there was something wrong but had to be there. Next morning I managed to get a doctors appointment who, after an ECG, called for an emergency ambulance. Spent the next week in Hospital with a Pulmonary Embolism, atrial fibulation, with the possibility of a stroke! Glad that I didn't miss the match though, well worth it!

I don' think the 4 - 0 F*rest drubbing followed the Yeovil game otherwise I would have felt bad as your condition sounds much worse than mine.

I hope you've made a full recovery!

No, a few years apart :D My issue was provoked by a medication prescribed for an unrelated condition (Rhuematoid Arthritis).
