That's partly recruitment (especially the last window in which we appear to have spaffed big cash on a large crop of cast offs...again)

 

Also, recruitment of coaching staff needs looking at. I'm not sure they are very good at all, let alone inspiring to work with.

We comfortably have the worst squad of players in the Premier League. 
The defensive options are not even close to PL standard. 
He might be the GoAT but no way should we be relying on a 38 year old as our best attacking option and when Soumare is our standout midfielder we’ve got real problems.

I don’t think it’s fair to say there’s been a lack of fight on the whole this season. Yes, there was nothing today, but before that, against all the other sides around us, there was plenty of fight. We were unbeaten against those sides until today. No matter how shite we were, at times we fought for, and got, points in those games.

 

Unfortunately the odds are the teams that came up are going to go straight back down once again.
