Unlikely semi final of Yuan Sijun v Jimmy robertson went all the way to a decider and another high scoring frame Sijun winning 94-83.

Apparently:

The total of 177 points in the final frame is just 18 shy of the record (195).

Almost an impressive comeback by Jimmy R from 3 down.

Wu 3-1  up v Trump so will there be an all Chinese final in the China open?

weirdly selby v mcguire in a previous round had a score 17 shy of the record.

Selby out of the Northern Irish open in the first round.

2-0 up lost 2-4 to Louis Heathcote.

Fuming tbf, had a quick look before it started and saw Heathcote at 7/1 and was so damn tempted especially in the best of 7!

Just seen Mark Allen’s post match interview on TNT, heartbreaking, really hope he gets the support he needs.

Really tough watch. Hope he gets the help he so obviously needs

Echo the comments above, blimey that was a struggle to get through, you could tell she just wanted to give him that big hug.

I did worry at first when she said "we're not here to talk about your personal life, but your snooker"

But then I think she soon realised that he needed to talk and have a hug

Fair play to him for speaking up but hope he doesn't leave it there

Totally agree, she adapted brilliantly when she could see it was a true cry for help.

He released a statement a few hours ago.

Would be great to see him back playing and enjoying it, regardless of result. But reading that, obviously the most important things is get the help he needs to feel better in himself, outside of snooker. If he never plays again, but is happy, thats what really matters.
