He’s a good player at Championship level. Yes we pay him too much and he’s had off the pitch issues but in his merits as a footballer at that level, he’s good when used correctly.

 

Problem is we think we are above using players of his style that do the dirty work which is why we have ended up with such a soft group of players for years now.

Hes a good championship player, that's his level. As we've seen the gap between being a good championship midfielder and a bottom end Premier league midfielder is quite big!

We need an Austin Healey type player who can play anywhere and wind the opposition up ha ha.
