New Season Ticket - Amount of Points Required

Not quite sure what i'm playing at, but me and my mate want a season ticket for next season. I have tried for the last 3+ Seasons and been unsuccesful.

 

Does anyone know the threshold for success in terms of the points required? Assuming just home points are taken into account.

Home points correct.. last season they raised it from late 30s to 55.. this season I think it’ll be between 60-70. However due to people claiming they ain’t renewing and therefore more becoming available maybe they might freeze it or go to 60

I think you've got a good chance this season, unless Ruud is sacked before the ST renewal window ends.  The switch to digital ticketing,  the dismal performances on the pitch, and the total lack of hope for next season is definitely putting people off.   The fact that the renewal window is very early will also help you.  We're having to renew at a time when morale is very low.

I'll be amazed if its more than half of that,  given the number of people who are saying they are giving there's up and the effect of near compulsory digital tickets.  I would also expect a reduced demand for new applications.

I can see a good 4 or 5 thousand season ticket being available next season. Circa 10k members, a good chunk of which can't/wont have one either next season so I can see it being a very low bar if any.

Would you/anyone else risk a joint application with a child on 25 points as it’s the lower points of the people they consider.. I’m in two minds to go solo or do a joint one, however I risk getting rejected and the thought of another season at members prices.. only downside to going solo is sorting out our match tickets for my lad every game..

Members are 16th April I believe

About this time in 2015 many were saying they were not going to renew, some didn't, some did,  you know the rest.

The closing date for ST renewals is 9th April, so by then the club will know how many STHs have renewed.  Maybe they'd be able to give you an idea then of whether your son could be in with a chance. 

I really think there'll be more STs available than before.  Not just because we're doing so badly, but also because of the digital switch.  I know a few people who have several STs that they pass around between friends and family.  If that's not going to be possible any more then people will relinquish their tickets.

There is always plenty of space to relocate seats once the window opens. Depending on the age of daughter you may be required to relocate next to her in any case.
