It was pretty much a sell out wasn’t it?

I know a mate of mine got one the morning of the game, but there were scant few available IIRC

Could still get them from the club on the day I thought. What an end. When King’s header went in

Frustratingly the camera cuts away from the away end a split second after you see the mayhem

Still think it was better than the 5-3 United game, and the Sevilla home game

You know what’s a funny point.

Remember Pearson rowing with the West Stand during a loss to Liverpool? Not a peep when we were getting relegated!

I’ve said it before but their was far more anger in the stands that season before the great escape than either of the two relegations

I don’t think it’s because they want to be entertained as such

For those of us lucky enough to have been a part of the period of time between say 08/09 and 2021, there’s literally nothing tangible to strive for now. That’s how I feel anyway

Nail on the head I think. When you’ve achieved the impossible, seen things you never thought you’d ever see, experienced things you never thought you’d experience, and realise that in your lifetime, it’s realistically never going to come around again, it’s not hard to see why the edge has been taken off things.

Winning the title was unimaginable, unfathomable, fairytale stuff. It was 5000-1 for a reason. It was a once in a lifetime event. When you’ve witnessed that, where do you go from there!

I think a large part of the fan base is still trying to find themselves after those great escape to champions league quarter final years. We’ve had our moments, pushing for top 4 in Rodgers peak period, European away days etc. Maybe a few years of struggle brings back that fight and appreciation when the good times roll around again, who knows? But it isn’t rocket science as to why the atmosphere has dropped off in the years since - especially this year with the lack of fight, endeavour and spirit, and that’s without no goals at home since before Christmas!

As for any blue on blue nonsense, it wouldn’t surprise me if it wasn’t even related to the football or the situation. There were people ‘offering out’ with each other over vape smoke in faces at Brighton the other week. It doesn’t take much for aggro to start over not very much!

Because the flask drinkers had an issue with Pearson and some weirdly still do. They united in that hatred.

Which is strange seeing as the almighty owners hired him twice (three times if you include the time Awaiyatt reportedly fired him and then Vichai re-instated him)!
