Is there such a thing still, as a bargain footballer? 
Morgan Rogers to Aston Villa, was reported to be £8 million and then rising depending etc. He looks to be a good buy for them.

I’d love for us to be able to find some bargain gems again.

Vardy, Mahrez, Kante and Huth cost 10 million combined, just less than half an Oliver Skipp.

One that I remember from my youth is Anelka to Arsenal. Signed the same month that we got Steve Guppy, and Anelka was nearly half the price of Gups. Won the double the next year and was soon after sold to Real for 22 million.

Many of Martin O´Neill´s signings turned out to be bargains. Before that, Peter Weir, Nicky Cross, Steve Walsh, etc.

Much earlier, Frank Clark was given a free by Newcastle and was going to sign for Doncaster in the old 4th Division before Cloughie signed him for Forest, where he won the League, European Cup etc.

I reckon Cooper at Sheffield United will be a snip at two million, he will go far.

Annoying when they act like he was a better deal than Vardy & Mahrez but Seamus Coleman was a snip at £50k.

 

Caicedo cost Brighton £4m ish, sold him for £107m more than that

Still frustrates me that Villa got Youri for free at 26 years old.

Don't care about the cup final goal, will always be a cvnt in my eyes.

One of the chief proponents of downing tools in relegation season.

Look how well he's doing for Villa now as well, makes me sick.

Jamie Vardy £1million, people thought we were daft paying that much for a non league player. However money well spent and looking back cheap.

 

Million pounds bought us a championship, premier league and fa cup winner.
