A 2nd win for my Argos!!!

Not out of it yet at 2-5, but gutting to see Montreal win against the odds again to beat Calgary to go to 5-2. As a 49ers fan, one of the most frustrating games of the last few years was when some QB called P J Walker got a start for the f**king Cleveland Browns against them, and played out of his skin as the Browns won the game on a Niners missed walk off field goal. Never heard of the guy again, until he popped up as Calgary's backup when Vernon Adams went down and he's now forgotten how to throw the ball and seemed to do everything he could to ensure Calgary lost from a winning position.

This is not the first season of following that I was expecting ngl lol

I was going to tell you when you picked them, that you'd probably be in for a rough season.

Wild finish in BC to make it 5 straight for the TiCats.

Turnovers almost cost us the win, including one of the best interceptions I've ever seen, in any football league.

That was sexy, both the win and interception.

The interception by Robert Carter Jr of the BC Lions to rob Hamilton of a TD:

Incredible catch - my son had wandered into the kitchen just as that happened, and heard me exclaim, so we watched a few replays of it! As a pretty good goalkeeper, you don't see many saves that good. Let along catching the ball one-handed.

Well played to the Ticats though - 5 wins in a row for the first time since 2019. I do dislike Bo Levi Mitchell more with every game - he just has a smarmy facial expression that you just want to wipe of his face.

Just had a look at the standings: the early dominance of the West had started to dissipate & its gone with those 3 road wins for Eastern teams this weekend. Suddenly, rather than the Argos looking at being 3 games back from Montreal & the Ticats & well adrift, they are only 1 back from BC as the crossover team. But it really is one of those seasons with every bit of good news followed by some bad: the story of the season has always been about it turning around once Chad Kelly came in... and having been week to week, they have just now put him on the 6 game injury list, so it looks going to have to be Arbuckle or bust.

Still getting used to it - in the NFL, a 1-5 start is pretty terminal - only 4 teams in history have ever made the playoffs after that start. But the CFL is another world... An 18 game season is long and 6 teams out of 9 making the playoffs means 2/3 of the league get in, so I'm struggling to get my head around the lack of panic. There's still hope for @EastAnglianFox's Elks!

Fajardo is doing a pretty nice job in place of Ford, so far against my TiCats.

5 minutes left and a 3 point lead so I’m still going to assume the worst lol

I genuinely enjoy watching the extended highlights on YouTube, regardless now I think I’m an Elk for life lol

Was a good game.

Edmonton should have had a TD at the end there, if that receiver could catch lol

Six in a row!

Really big game for the Argos today - on UK time as well... Not too far off the playoffs, but if we can't beat the 2-6 RedBlacks at home, won't be able to see much chance of turning the season around.

But a hell of a first half - Argos jumping out to a 22-1 lead, but threatening to throw a big lead again, with it now 25-19 at half time. Although Argos were still jumping in that last drive of the half... wait til you see Herslow's leap!

Massive 2nd half coming up.

Can't disagee

One week the offense looks good, but the defence can't make a stop.

The next, the defence steps up, but the offence can't do anything.

Then its back the other way.

While Special teams are consistently poor and make the difference in tight games.

Here's that leap though...

That's the beauty  of the CFL though, you never know what you're going to get.

That leap was sick BTW!

Argos head to Edmonton this weekend - getting into "must win" territory for both as the last-placed 2 win teams.

Felt appropriate, listening to the preview podcast on the way back from a trip to Norwich (in @EastAnglianFox & yellow and green territory) - sounds like Elk's fans are energised after last week's game & mapping potential paths to the playoffs, while its all doom and gloom in Argo-land after another bad defeat, and Ryan Dimwitty tearing into the them again.

Argos are now 0-5 in games decided in the last 3 minutes (and 2-2 in all other games), so feels like its between the ears as much as ability, but surely its got to regress to the mean at some point, so this is a good week to start!

Another day I can look forward to watching the highlights

Could get used to this lol

Getting used to the how the play off system works and format was a bit confusing but slowly getting it

The battle of best in the East vs best in the West wasn't much of a battle, unfortunately.

All 4 games were West hosting East, and it was a clean sweep. Hamilton not losing any ground as a result.

Argos did their usual be the better side for most the game, to suddenly s**t the bed as soon as the clock turned to the 4th quarter.

Between the Argos, Leicester's start to the season and the Giants, there isn't much enjoyment to be found anywhere at the moment!

No worries, a repeat of that is highly unlikely.

The Cleveland Browns rarely employ QBs good enough to be CFL backups.
