Thats bollocks surely. It would be known.

The person or company that owns it know where it is? I have no idea!

My first game, aged 5, against Newcastle in 71. Many memories, including Keith Weller in his wife's tights against Norwich in Jan 79. And of course 5-2 against Shrewsbury in 82

Pictures from behind the scenes inside Filbert Street would be cool to see.

I've got a fair few books about City and Filbo with pics in so I might be able to find some.

One thing that surprises me is the fact that Filbert Street stood empty for a year after we left before being demolished. Why didn't we take advantage and do tours around Filbert Street as a kind of last opportunity situation or even host reserves games there? Would just needed a temporary safety certificate? Would of been around the time of administration and financial struggle for the club, personally thing would of been a great idea for extra revenue for the club.

the cricket pitch just to the left of the two cooling towers was used as a home ground by Leicester Fosse whilst Filbert Street was being built (was then the home of Leicestershire County Cricket club until 1939) (still there but with a reduced playing area). The rectangular park, top-left, with one tree in the center, is Victoria Park, a very early home ground for Leicester Fosse. The King Power is bottom-right where the part shown cooling towers are.

Some of those evening games in the 90s.... maybe it was because I was young and impressionable but it was a real cauldron at times.

When people say the atmosphere wasn't that great, they can't have been there for the play off runs of the 90s, ding dongs with the Derby dream team or some of the special nights of the O'Neill era. A proper ground that kept the noise in.

Was never able to experience Filbert street due to being born in 96 and not having the finances to attend.

If only we could go back in time so I could experience the atmosphere.

Same, it’s almost like I can’t imagine our fans being that ferocious when you compare it to today. But I guess we aren’t the only club that has happened too …

Well, there were plenty of games at Filbert St where you could hear a pin drop, and then bounce.

There were plenty of games when the ground would be so quiet, you could hear the players shouting at each other on the pitch.

But yes, when it went up, it was hair raising. I think it was becuase the roof on the Kop was much closer to the crowd than it is at the KP that the noise was intensified.

Saw countless games stood in crazy corner and the most electric was the fabled 3-3 against Arsenal, along with the Villa and Sunderland semis when we got to Wembley again.

Seemed like it had a reputation of being a tough place in general to go. A bit like Leeds have now or Newcastle. Maybe not on that scale but still a tough place.

I started regualy in 1990, as people have said the atmosphere was mixed, there was no doubt some meorable games, i think overall despite having half the fans we have now the atmosphere was better back then overall, but there are many reasons for that.  I doubt any club in england thinks the atmosphere is better at their ground than 30 years a go.  And fans in their 50's back in the 1990's would say the atmosphere wasnt as good as the 60/70's.....the atmsophere has been in slow decline for decades.

I think Patrick Vieira said he hated playing at Filbert Street. Probably coz he had Walsh, Elliott and Taggart after him >_<
