Having played throughout the EFL Trophy victory over Cardiff City at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday night, which moved County up to second in Group I, the midfielder got another full game against Accrington Stanley.
A crucial league success at Wham Stadium, County now sit in 23rd, on eight points from 12 matches, with Cheltenham Town next to visit Rodney Parade this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Although not involved at the weekend, forward Nathan Opoku did start in the Welsh capital, playing 83 minutes.
Staying in the fourth division, Jayden Joseph was a starter for Tranmere Rovers as they lost 2-0 at home to Barnet. Playing 72 minutes at Prenton Park, the versatile defender was also named in the starting XI for a midweek EFL Trophy victory over Barrow.

More minutes in the tank for Joseph.
Withdrawn with a quarter of an hour to play at Holker Street, a late winner saw Rovers claim all three points to sit top of Group B. Bristol Rovers await in League 2 on Saturday - a 3pm kick-off at Memorial Stadium - as Tranmere aim to improve on their current position of 19th.
A day on from signing on loan until the end of the season, Kian Pennant made his Gateshead debut in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round on Saturday. A first 66 minutes of action for his adopted club, the 3-0 away success over Aveley sees the North East club into tonight’s draw for the First Round Proper.
An Enterprise National League meeting with Brackley Town comes on Saturday, kicking off at 3pm at St James Park, when Pennant could make his league bow.
A week prior, young goalkeeper Jake Donohue made his Quorn FC debut, starting a 2-2 draw at home to Corby Town in FA Trophy Third Round Qualifying, which ended with a 5-3 defeat on penalties.
After joining on a one-month loan, it’s Alvechurch away on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off) and a chance to make his Southern Football League Premier Central Division bow.
All times BST.

Opoku injured until November at least

Nathan had an innocuous knock on the back of his knee in the [Cardiff] game, which he didn't feel at the time," explained Hughes. "After the game his knee was a bit stiff, a bit sore, so he's gone back to Leicester - he went back last week - for further examination so he'll definitely be [out for] a few weeks.

Cartwright on the bench for Falkirk

Joseph on the bench for Tranmere

Wilson-Brown on the bench for Swindon. Bit odd that Holloway was raving about him a few weeks ago and he’s been benched the last 3 games.

Kian Pennant on the bench for

Gateshead.
