According to transfer market, he is both on loan at Falkirk and contract here expires 30/06/25.

You’d imagine if both parties wanted to extend if would have happened.

He’d be a number of years from getting a look in with us (if at all), so he might find a move to the EFL somewhere more appealing.

I would’ve thought he would’ve signed an extension before his loan but it would’ve been kept quiet. Most loans in the last year of a contract happen like this now.

It would make sense. Unless it was a particularly specific scenario where he made it clear he wants to leave and a loan was the best way of maximising tribunal compensation.

Still unusual for it not to be said, in a how long context.

The Newport fans are loving Braybrooke.

Braybrook was fantastic for me. Deceptively strong in the challenge as well as a good thinker, and quick runner.

Braybrooke is a real treat to watch when he's in the mood, ran the game for us tonight.

The consensus seems to be he is too good for that level and will be gone at Christmas. I really think we should be bringing him back into the first team squad here rather than sending on a L1 loan.

I'd get him in league one. No point coming here so he rot in the 21s while Skipp and Soumare sit on the bench ahead of him.

Yep agreed he will just stall his career if comes back. Best thing for the lad is to keep going on loan until hes either good and ready to play for us or sell him.

I agree with this, I just think he offers something more progressive on the pitch than the other options. Its similar to the Nelson chat, the club gains more by developing these players than playing older ones that are leaving on a free at the end of the season anyway.

100% agree with you. If I had the choice I'd rather see us developing these players.

Unfortunately or not the club and presumably the manager see promotion as the top priority and Marti obvious feels the older players have a better chance of achieving that.

I'm rather hoping that by January a few of these older players will have been sold for a few £s leaving us with the need to start using the younger players because if they're going to be the backbone of the team next season they need need game time as we wont be able to buy much better and will probably get relegated again due to the lack of experience.

The Braybrooke redemption arc is going to hit like a tower of freshly microwaved Chicago Town pizzas. I'm here for it.

Fast forward to next season, we are still in the Championship and Skipp is starting ahead of Braybrooke. Half of FoxesTalk are justifying this selection a Skipp brings experience and we need this to get promoted lol

nobody on FT thinks like that surely, it's tantamount to treason

Where would he fit into a Marti system?

He'd be a straight swap for Winks, presumably. As a sub for this season but integrating with the first XI, then taking over if Winks departs as expected in the summer.

If Soumare and Skipp can find a way to repeatedly get into Marti's system them there's no reason why Braybrooke can't also.

Really wish he hadn't had the bad time at Dundee. Last thing he needed after the injury.

I think we could have had Alves and Braybrooke in the first team by now if things had worked out a bit differently for them both.

It’s funny how academy players are viewed. He’s 22 in March but to some that would mean his time has passed because he’s still in League one or two.

When the likes of Monga come through who’s just a complete freak it makes people think there’s a clock ticking.

I suppose it could depend on what division we’re in next year

I mean you’d think the same when it comes to Vestergaard/Faes and Nelson wouldn’t you!

KDH went on loan to Blackpool at 22 so sometimes players journey kickstarts a bit later than you'd think. Perhaps Sammy will be another one in that mould :)

Exactly. Not saying he’ll still “make it” here but players develop at different paces. That’s without mentioning an ACL injury.

He’s extremely talented
