Good to see cartwright involved again.

Does he have a future here, does anyone know?

Potentially especially when we’re looking at bottom half and league 1 (if get points deduction)

I wonder who we will lose of the young crop.

Regardless of whether we survive and are in the Championship or are relegated to L1, I think we know Monga and Nelson are gone.

Page? Evans? I don’t know if we could keep them if relegated. If we did go down but had something like

             Stolarcryk

Aluko - New - New - New

  Cartwright - Braybrooke

     New - Page - Alves

               Evans

That’d be fun!

You’d need some experience in the gaps. I do think some of these would be poached off us though.

should we be concerned about tom wilson brown not in swindon squad? he started off strong no?

Think it was due to a knock rather than him getting completely dropped

Overrated and good riddance was the prevailing sentiment.

Huge loss.

It will be interesting to see if Braybrooke ever becomes a starter for us.

You would think he suits what Cifuentes wants from a midfielder more than Soumare and Skipp.

Problem is despite Braybrooke having a very good loan spell at Newport, he's playing a starring role at the club holding up the league.  They're bottom of league 2.  It's a huge step up to be playing for a club that wants to get back to the Premier League.  I don't think Marti and Braybrookes futures intertwine.

If we were to get back up, Braybrooke will still be far from proven at levels below what we'll want.  And if Marti doesn't get us up, will he still be in the job to bring Braybrooke into the fold?

If we don't go up you could put him forward as a Winks replacement who will certainly bugger off. Is Cifuentes around in that situation though?

Braybrooke probably has another season of loans after this before he's in contention for us, and then it'll depend largely on the trajectory of both parties.  We could be back in the Prem and he might be a league one standard player.  We could be in league one and he signs up to a championship team.  A lot can happen.

Would be nice if everyone upped levels to be Prem level, Player, club, manager.  But that's pipe dream innit?!

I think he was only on loan until Jan, so you’d imagine the second half of the season would hopefully be in league 1.

Ready for next season

Yeah I think that's a possibility.  Newport will want to keep him.  But the question is is it better for him to play a full season which he's guaranteed at Newport, or find him a new club at a higher level where he might not get the minutes.

It's sort of a perfect storm required really.  You need a side at a higher level that are in need of a player of his ilk that will play him regularly.  Problem is there will be teams that just want and use loan players for depth/cover that may not be needed and the player gets no real measurable benefit.

I know Luton have a couple of serious injuries to midfielders at the moment.  They might need to dip in.

Good effort to get 7.9 despite being on the losing side.

He’ll have his fair share of options in January, for sure. Hopefully something league one.
