Gary Delaney joke:  I asked a Welsh friend how many sexual partners he'd had.  He started counting and fell asleep.

well i thought that was the last game of the season, and looking back it went well, we had to play the playoff conference end of the league, and we finished top, picking up the league cup on the way. but we know have a series of games for the european places play off, i have no idea how or why im in it but i'll take it, chance at europe next season, no matter how small is always fun. maybe @Finnegan can shed some light on this system, i could see an explaination in the games rules. most of my team are exploring options too, while i would like to keep some of thise, its likely i might have an almost completely new team next season. got my first coaching badge too, immediately went on to the next one so i have decided im staying here as long as they will have me, until im fully trained up and have the freedom to choose whichever next club i want

EDIT. i figured it out. top 3 teams get auto euro qualifying stage, next 4 play each other for the last remaining conference league place. im under no illusions i can win that with this lot, or even get it through this play off, but it would be nice to make the group stage.

also,  got myself some nicer looking balls, from this page
3D Matchballs Megapack - VERSION 26.2 (Fully compatible with FM24 and FM26) - Other Football Manager Graphics - FM26 - Football Manager 26

install just like logos and kits, and as you can see, from the picture of my ballsack, they look pretty good. one of those little things that make all the difference

Always wanted to do a Bilbao policy type save (Basque only players for them) with another club, came up with the idea of creating a fictional club in the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca & Formentera - basically a second home for me during the summer) and putting them into the lowest Spanish divisions playable, would like to put them even lower but there isn't a lower league Spanish database knocking around this year. Took quite a bit of editor work already but nearly ready to go :chant:

Lowest I could find was 5th tier which is where I had to put my Andorra B Team

FYI if your B team (if you have one) isn’t in a league I wouldn’t be surprised if that means they never get promoted into the actual leagues as I had that happen with my Andorra B team and had to restart the save

Do you know where you found that mate? couldn't find one anywhere, but that would be class.

I was planning on maybe getting a few years/a bit of success down the line and using the in game editor to drop the B team into the division I start the first team in - but not even sure if that's possible? I've watched Clayts on YouTube do an academy only save with Huesca and he did have his B team promoted after a couple of years to be fair.

I think it might depend on whether the B team is already setup to join in the future / has the possibility

I tried to add it to my B team who play in about the 7th tier IRL and did testing but could just never get them to be promoted into a proper league

Started in Norway in the 2026 season, went for Jerv in the third tier and obliterated the league, managed to build a good young side and pick up some lads from the same level and below who I know are already above the level and have room to develop.

I've got an issue now though as Stabaek are bottom of the second division with 5 to play, they've also got an interim manager and assuming he leaves at the end of the season and they do go down, I'm going to find it basically impossible not to go for that job.

Well problem solved Stabaek gave the interim the job full time as he managed to have them finish dead last, and now to be petty I'm going to buy a load of their players.

AIK went down in Sweden and also didn't sack their manager, this save hates me and my love of jumping to big sides getting relegated.

that exactly the sort of shit i do. i like to buy rivals best players and loan them out of the league if i can. i buy anyone thats wanted by them too

love a good win but absolutely hate it when my team falls asleep for the last 10 minutes. making me good mid block hold position like a coward

Season 2 is done. no trophies this time but im happy with where we finished. really struggled to score goals all season i need to look into why and try and find some players that can put chances away more often, lukily we were good in defence so finished second and qualified for europa conference league play off rounds. League splits into 3 now after 30 games, its pretty fun tbh. Up to continental C licence now, studying for B, signed a new 1 year deal too. i have no idea how we match up to the teams in europe we will be facing but i hope we can make the group stage just for a laugh

I've had an idea for a save and I can't decide if it's a good one or absolute madness.  Win the top division in every country in the base game.  Apparently that's 58 for men and 11 for women.

I'm assuming FM managers are basically immortal.

And by 'I had an idea' I mean I saw someone is trying to win the league in 211 countries using an expanded FM24 database.  That's definitely too much though!

When I started my save in Norway with Jerv, I aslo started one with Liverpool in Uruguay as I couldn't decide which to be.

I'm now on the Liverpool save, and first season I'm in with a chance of reaching the Sudamericana final, after getting Bolivar in the semi's (fully expect to get battered after saying this lol)

Won the opening stage, and won my group in the weird mid season stage they do, but lost to Penarol in the final, not sure you actually get anything for it, but points count towards the overall table so good to do well in it.

Now hoping to win the closing stage, which should also hopefully see me top the overall table and not have the playoff to decide the actual champion.

I’ve decided to go ahead with this daft idea, or least make a start and see how long I last before I chuck it in.  I started by going through all the top divisions to see how they are rated at the start of a save.  Six had a reputation of ‘average’ so I loaded those six and began the game.

There were only two jobs available so I applied for both, interviewed with both and took the first one offered.  I was starting in India, and immediately ran into an issue when I looked into my club’s history and discovered the division they are in, the only Indian one in the game, is not actually the top division in India.  Since the Indian Super League is not in the game I’ll have to change the aim of the challenge to be to win the highest division in the game in every country.

COUNTRY ONE: INDIA

Churchill Brothers was the club.  I joined in May 2025 but the 20 match league season didn’t start until late November.  That was just as well, as the Board set the objective of winning the league, but the squad didn’t look good enough.  There was plenty of available wage budget though, relative to wages in this division, so I was able to put a decent squad together.  By the time the season began the media and bookies had us finishing second to Diamond Harbour.

If goal difference had been the tie-breaker they would have been right, but luckily for me it was head-to-head.  We had a win and a draw in those games, so title number one was done quickly.  I think I got lucky with the club, but I’ll happily take a few more like that please.  No coaching badges yet and a league title in the 43rd best league in Asia hasn’t done a huge amount for my reputation.  But it’s a start.

The other leagues with a reputation of average are Lithuania, Gibraltar, Northern Ireland and Wales (both men and women), so one of those will be next.
