To be fair, it doesn’t really matter how we rank them. Under Cifuentes they don’t stand a chance of any real development.

Yep & the great Pearson, Walsh & Shakespeare it would seem also who were running the show at the time.

We should have seen Rudkin for what he was at the time as he was academy manager with Terry Robinson as DoF.

 

Funny to see the players that did get contracts who were around with Toney although most a year or 2 older

Not sure the academy was very good then & with him in charge we understand why.

 

Liam Moore & Jeff Schlupp were the main 2 to get into the 1st team during that period but again a few years older 

 

Think Toney was very much a late bloomer he never really made it until he was 24-25 & everyone thinking he’s this big England player he never made his international debut till he was 27 & considering he’s only 29 now it’s not like he’s set the world alight.

Maybe at the age of 15-16 he looked like he wasn’t going to make, it was almost 10yrs later he shone for Brentford in the Championship…although looking at that list above he must have looked utter doggo or a serious attitude to not get a scholarship over those 😂

The rest are unlikely play above Championship level. Cry if you like but I think that's the reality.

I wouldn't be unhappy if Monga does fly high but I'm yet to see what the fuss is about. I know he's young but he rarely beats a player, decision making is awful - that should improve with time - and most the time he hasn't really offered anything. Again, he's very young, I'm not jumping to conclusions here, just suggesting there maybe isn't evidence of a player going right to the top at this point.

I'm here yet again to say...why are we judging any of these players properly under this lemon of a gaffer? No one is thriving here under him, my word!
