This is the route to an unhappy life my friend. Accept where we are. Not celebrating staying up is fair enough, refusing to celebrate anything outside the premier League....nah, that's not the way.

I’m quite happy, in fact I’m more happy than I’ve ever been, because for once I’m not letting the football dictate my mood. My passion has shifted onto the future on the football club, so what’s happening now on the pitch I’m fairly ambivalent towards. I’ve been to three games all season, and I’m not even arsed about it.

But my stance has nothing to do with not celebrating because we’re not in the premier league. My stance of not celebrating is because we shouldn’t be in this situation….. in my opinion (and many others) we are here through incompetence, negligence and horrific leadership….. so I’ll make no apologies for not accepting this and expecting and demanding better. The fact we’re now a million miles behind the likes of Coventry and Derby should be enough to make any fans piss boil, not just accept it like it’s all normal.

Slightly annoying seeing “we only won because they were crap”. Why can’t people, our own fans give them credit when it’s due?

Granted, Bristol City weren’t great, but for the first time in a long time we’ve put in a performance worthy of 3 points yet people are still trying to pick holes.

Tonight also shows how important JJ has been to us this season, especially when he starts.

Totally agree.  We've played worse teams and come away with nothing this season.  Several times!

Again, a completely irrelevant point of view.
I’ll keep coming back to it, because it’s a fact that can’t be ignored, or diminished.
in 2008 we hadn’t had £600m pass through the club in it’s existence, let alone previous decade.
So no, I don’t accept where we are, and I will continue to protest until king power are gone.
I won’t be celebrating anything until that day comes, and those who want it, have their Leicester city back.

Well, it wasn't a completely irrelevant point of view.   And it's you opinion, not a fact.

I think you're misunderstanding the word "accept".    It's in the context of "current physical reality", rather than "can't be bothered".

Each to their own.

I think we're all angry about where we are, but it's just not healthy - certainly for me - to dwell on what could or should be. I need to deal in reality, where we are.

But we're all different, just my way.

It is irrelevant…. Because you can’t compare the situation of 2008 to now.

We’re a completely different club and have had a completely different financial situation between then and now. Drawing a comparison to the 2008 scenario is just plain lazy, as is the “we were in league one once you know” well, we were in the champions league once you know too.

And I really do not misunderstand sunshine….. I simply do not accept this current situation….. if you were running a business and your business partner decided to recklessly spend the companies fortune away, leaving it bust, would you accept that?

The facts are simple, we’re not victims of a system, we’re the curators of our demise, the boardroom have engineered the most spectacular collapse in British football history, and it could have all been avoided if there were just some basic business decisions made….

So, don’t accept what’s happening to us, I will along with other like minded people, try my upmost to rid this club of the infection that is king power, so we can see a future……

I'm not sure what your problem is m8, but I've not compared our situation today to that of 2008.

The comparison I made, was it only took 8 years to go from being sh*t to Champions.

And for your information sunshine, I totally agree that our Club has been terribly mismanaged through utter incompetence.  So no, I'm not some happy clapper accepting it all, and waving my honesty flag every week.

The point stands, however, that at this moment we are sh*t and out of the relegation zone on goal difference.   And avoiding relegation will be the first step to turning it around, as I would've thought KP are more likely to find a buyer with us not in Administration.  Although that's only my opinion, and I accept I might be wrong on that.

I like that point about the Champions League once. This is actually factually correct. We have been in both the Champions League and League 1 exactly once. Even if you look at how many times we have been in the upper end of the PL to the bottom few in the Championship, the numbers probably look very similar.

We shouldn’t accept relegation to L1 any more than we should expect to qualify for the CL precisely because both are very unrealistic for us.

I mean for most of our history we've been a very similarly sized club to Cov and Derby, we then hit the ownership jackpot whereas both of them hit the opposite.

Still doesn’t mean we can use our previous history as a comparison to what’s happening today! Plus, let’s not forget we had success prior to King Power….. well, what we had was a partnership that will go down in history… Pearson, Shaky, Walsh and Vichai. They unquestionably laid the foundations for what was to come….  But after the title win came riches that should have secured a stable future, with just some basic decisions.

Similar to Cov?

Judging by some of those who go to the games, I don’t think so…. Even as a tongue in cheek it’s not really funny……

More amusing and supportive of the team than ‘how shit must you be we’re winning away’.

Compare the clubs from their founding to around when SISU took them over and when KP took over here. There really isn't that big a difference.

Average league position for us is 22nd, prior to King Power it was 23rd. Average league position for Cov is 36th, prior to SISU it was 35th. we're talking the difference between top flight v second tier yo-yo vs firmly second tier lower midtable. That is a big difference

About 10 places, I'd say that makes the clubs of similar stature. Derby had also won a few top flight titles, Cov had won a major trophy in that time compared to our solitary league title in the 1920s and League Cup wins.

My point is, if you were asking this question around 2010, ourselves/Cov/Derby/Forest were all pretty similar sized clubs. It's not as though they've always been minnows and we've been top tier.
