Tommy Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Gareth Williams is moving to Manchester City From Leicester City to re-unite with Stuart Pearce During the January transfer window, with Craig Levein looking to bring in striker Steve Lovell from Dundee for in an improved offer. From Football Rumours I know it's not the most useful and reliable site in the wordl but what does everyone think to this And also one slightly to do with us Arsenal will not sign Theo Walcott, because Wenger has the rapidly approaching finished article in Ryan Smith who is currently on loan at Leicester. Smith has been producing some magical displays for the foxes, and is much too good for Championship football.

Mark Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Not Steve Lovell again, i thought we were past this. A player who has been nowhere near as prolific as De Vries was in Scottish football - I was absolutely delighted when he decided to stay in Scotland. 1 goal in 12 games for Aberdeen this season, i can't see it being true.
The People's Hero Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 I'm sure Lovell has already turned down the chance to move here after a fee had been agreed?
Darth Fox Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 1 goal in 12 games for Aberdeen this season, i can't see it being true. Sounds like Leveins type of player...sh!te.
Cobbo Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 1 goal in 12 games for Aberdeen this season, i can't see it being true. Sounds like Leveins type of player...sh!te. Hughes, Hume, McCarthy, Gerrbrand, Maybury, Smith...all good signings, so I think criticising his purchasing tactics is a bit wrong.
Darth Fox Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Hughes, Hume, McCarthy, Gerrbrand, Maybury, Smith...all good signings, so I think criticising his purchasing tactics is a bit wrong. Okay if his purchasing tactics are good then someone is to blame for the results NOT being good. Who?
ROSSINDA Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Hughes, Hume, McCarthy, Gerrbrand, Maybury, Smith...all good signings, so I think criticising his purchasing tactics is a bit wrong. But he did buy Sylla, Kisnorbo and Douglas as well, who we all agree if all 3 weren’t played we may stick a better chance of winning a game or two also a 1 goal in 12 striker is hardly going to improve things is it?
Katy Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 The thing is with the Footie Rumours site is that any Tom, Dick or Harriet can post anything they like on there and it will get published. I bet we dont sign anyone in January
Steven Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 The same site also says: Manchester City are interested in signing Ade Akinbiyi from Burnley as Dean Ashton looks increasingly likely to stay at Norwich City.
HUUUUUUUUUUME Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 levein has made more good than bad signings and is moving in the right direction
Muz Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Also says this... Meanwhile of Jim Jefferies does go to Dundee Utd, Kilmarnock will replace him with either Bobby Williamson or Craig Levein.
Blue Arrow Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Aww Muz i had just about to put that in when it caught the corner of my eye
TornadoShaunUK Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Also says this... QUOTE Meanwhile of Jim Jefferies does go to Dundee Utd, Kilmarnock will replace him with either Bobby Williamson or Craig Levein a wise move, then we could perhaps get some compensation rather than have to pay him off...
Chrysalis Posted 29 December 2005 Posted 29 December 2005 a wise move, then we could perhaps get some compensation rather than have to pay him off... Ok who bribed kilmarnock to go for him to relieve us of the financial cost?
