I mean this nicely, it’s not very football is it.

Funnily enough me and the Mrs were talking about this the other day, Saying it never felt like a pub you could have a drink in .

More like a restaurant !

They've just taken on and refurbished the Old Horse on London Road (done a great job of it as well, to be fair).

Presumably focusing their efforts on that and the Rutland & Derby, which I imagine are more profitable.

Can't help but think that a place like Dry Dock would thrive even more nowadays!

It was the perfect pre-match boozer. Football on inside and lots of space outside, including on the roof, when the weather was good. Decent choice of beer, which admittedly got worse over time. Far superior to the Donkey (formerly the Stork’s Head and Fuzzock & Firkin) and New Road Inn.

That was my first ever game. Found and bought the programme online a few years ago

My first game too. Funny that. Might try and find a programme myself!

I'd say things needed freshening up a bit there- felt a bit stale before (and not just the frequently below average pints Guinness they used to pour).

It was my local for years but we had to stop going. Awful beer and karaoke.

Went downhill once Steamin Billy handed it over.

Mystery as Leicester's The Clarendon pub stays shut for several days | Leicestershire Live

In my late teens, lived just around the corner before walking to Welford Road and down through Freemans Commons when it was a massive allotment past the Cattle Market

Still a fantastic boozer.

Looking go to move it elsewhere I've heard; I think the business rates have gone up in that area so I can only assume that their overheads have dictated staying in that location or not.
