Yep, registered on the 16th of July, another charge from our good friends Macquarie Bank Limited.

Looks like it’s another charge that extends to any more funds received from the PL out to June 2028

given that this season is the last of the para payments, I assume this takes care of any solidarity payments that the premier league makes to the football league.  Even if we were to achieve back to back promotions, we would not receive any PL member payments until after June 2028 

 

if I had the time I’d print out this and the last charge and see what the differences are beyond that

I’m assuming things just needed tidying up in case there was indeed a sale of the club .. clarification on who actually owes the money and where payments will come from.

It’s an MR01 charge and we have filed several of those over the last couple of years, in January of this year and now this one and in 2025 we filed MR01 charges in January, July and September..MR01 charges are consistent with refinancing or replacing existing current if lending charges ( MR04)

 

in short, this is not an indication of any impending financial doom and is entirely consistent with how we have been operating over the last couple of years.

No you aren’t and it’s ultimately why we are - the business of

King Power is no longer cash rich and LCFC is losing money with decent outgoings each month.
 

But it does create an issue for a sale as your purchaser is buying a liability they didn’t sign up for. Will be a problem when any purchase gets near

They will have access to far more financial detail than us, and understanding the club’s liabilities versus its assets gives a much clearer picture.

 

It is also a matter of risk versus reward. If the price is right, you get a club that has already proven it can be a stable Premier League side with a solid fan base.

 

As Ipswich and Sunderland have shown, things can be turned around quickly. If someone buys us for £150m and, with some shrewd management, gets us back into the PL, we are suddenly worth £500m.
