Foxes Trust Open Event: Pre-Match vs Burton Albion (Saturday 12:30-2:30pm)

There are lots of opinions on what the Trust should/shouldn't be doing.

 

It's not always easy to get it right or explain online the reality of trying to work with our Football Club.

 

We're hosting an Open Event prior to the Burton Albion match on Saturday to share more on our latest work, what we've been experiencing in our attempts to work with the Club and where the Trust plans to go in future.

 

It's close to the stadium, open to all and we hope to have a bar onsite. Come along and share your thoughts, ideas and feedback with us.

Hope there’s a good few who stop by at this. Could be a big few months ahead for the Trust and I think it’s important for LCFC fans to hear about the realities of what it’s like trying to work with the club and to share what they want to see from the Trust.

The club are being dishonest a d not being open.  Its clear kp have tired of funding the club... so its up for sale.  Yet the club should be open about an financial crisis.  When are they letting ridkin go?

Have City highlights on the TV - possibly some light music. 

 

A few minor bits to keep people involved and stop the room being a awkward speed dating experience

I'd be surprised if they make up 10% of visitors.

With KP clearly trying to sell, is this relevant anymore ?

 

Attention needs to turn to potential new owners, getting in front of them quickly and setting fan expectations

There’s no need too, we welcome healthy debate without argument. There’s no point going into pro and anti camps, there’s far more common agreement in the fanbase than people think.

Just some that I know and loads on Facebook blame the Trust and UFS for all our current problems.

 

They seem to think everything would be fine if we had not demonstrated lead by UFS. The Trust doesn't act for the fan base and is the opinion of a few rebels that lead it.

 

So would be nice to know if it's pro KP anti KP or middle of the road fans.

I look at those posts and it’s the same names. If they don’t want to engage in proper debate, then that’s their choice. 

 

If we look at our likes for example that suggests more support than a collection of people with that view. For example 200 odd likes with 148 comments - many of which is same people again and again. 
 

Alongside that, we’ve had 4400 odd happy to engage with our survey and now have a captive number of 2000 either members, associates or otherwise. I stood outside last season for the Millwall and Hull games, we seemed to be okay on the whole with public interfacing. 
 

We must be doing something which is striking accord with people. This week we are featured in the Mercury, on Radio Leicester and a couple of podcasts. 

But we can’t go into having open events trying to dictate opinion. All we can do is hear people’s views and present what our interactions with the club have been like 

 

First most the idea behind the event to give people a place to get together as this whole club solely lacks a culture of supporter led events and activities (UFS do cracking bits and Pride as well)

Please don't think I'm having a go. It was just an idea for some figures that could bash the ***** down. Just like they think if you want Top out you automatically think Vichai was a wrong UN and we are not grateful for what he did for us and the county and the Royal.

I didn’t take that away. If anything I took it as support. Agreed the art of nuance is dead. 
 

We get probably an email a week now of someone saying thanks, I’m really disillusioned or I’m really pissed off about x, y and z. 
 

A lot take the dis-satisfaction at the moment has solely what’s on the pitch and the Facebook lot really think that but a lot of the strained relationship centres about the clubs need for every fan group to report into their framework they’ve set up. While ignoring that not everything can wait for a meeting every two months. You look at some of the own goals in customer care over the last year. That’s the real issues for me at the moment that the club really need to pick up on. 
 

For example, they are asking everyone to get there early tomorrow but would they think about having staff dotted around the queues to sort out digital ticket problems? I really doubt it

There have been lots of questions and criticisms of the way the Trust communicates without people always understanding how much work goes in and just how difficult the club can be to work with.
