If the players are reading this, yes we would rather have a decrepid @Collymore come back and score a thundercoont bottom bins goal then watch you pass the ball from one testicle to the other alllllll game long. If I wanted foreplay with no tangible outcomes I'd rather try to shag my missus. At least i might get to know what it feels like to jizz in my pants again.

Ha ha, very funny. If football players were robots and they could download tactical play and positioning then all the players unilaterally playing another system might be a genuine thing. Unfortunately we now have; a third of a team of academy players who have had this sort of sideways possession based style drilled into them by our coaches, a third of a team who’ve been at the club through different managers who despite the managers own style have always reverted to some iteration of sideways ball and a third of team of new arrivals who might only have played together under Brusselball. 

The system players revert to when they don’t like the current system is usually the one that they have played together a lot and are comfortable with…. So most of these players will revert to sideways possession based football….

 

Successive managers haven’t managed to break the clubs and possibly the players own obsession with sideways possession based football. Steve Cooper may have had players come in under his watch that got relegated twice and were hard to move on but he hadn’t historically coached Enzoball, but publicly stated he was going back to it after few games as the played struggled with other systems.
