Now I know madness has set in:

The City skipper asks for supporters to be loud and proud when the Foxes take on Cardiff at the Walkers Stadium this weekend.

Each and every one of the players knows that we have got a battle on our hands. And we're determined to win that battle.

Even in their worst nightmares no-one would have said at the start of the season that we could find ourselves in this position.

But the table doesn't lie. We are in the bottom three. And it's up to us as a group of players to do something about it.

We believe we are much better than our league position suggests (isn't that part of the problem bigheads) but there is only one group of people who can turn it around. And that's us.

The first step is to haul ourselves out of the bottom three as quickly as possible. It's inevitable that pressure will mount when you find yourselves in this situation.

But now is a time for cool heads, (you're having a laugh) we must continue to think clearly and start delivering some results.

Ultimately, much of the current situation stems from our failure to get better results over the Christmas period.

The games come thick and fast over the festive time and can often have a big bearing on league position for weeks to come.

Our failure to beat Crewe and Millwall in home fixtures caused us problems and we need to redress that.

I and the rest of the players passionately believe we are much better than our current league position suggests.

We know that we have to start winning games and with two matches in quick succession against Cardiff this afternoon and a trip to Plymouth on Tuesday there is an ideal opportunity to make progress up the table.

We showed against Spurs that we can beat some of the very best teams in the country.

We had to do it in adverse circumstances too, coming from two goals down against high-quality opposition.

That shows not only can we compete with the best but we can also battle back against the odds.

Right now our backs are to the wall and we need some more results.

I'd probably have swapped the victory over Spurs for three points against Sheffield Wednesday.

Ultimately, at the end of the season, we are going to be judged on how we finish in the Championship. Not how much progress we made in the FA Cup.

Having beaten Spurs to reach the fourth round of the Cup, it gave us a perfect springboard to go to Hillsborough last Saturday.

It didn't go according to plan and despite getting an early lead we slipped to a 2-1 defeat.

That makes this afternoon's game even more important. We've already got one victory over Cardiff earlier this season in the Carling Cup.

We'd love a repeat result on Saturday but that match will have little bearing on the outcome.

As I've said before, we've got to win our individual battles out there on the pitch, earn the right to play and deliver a result.

As players we feel the frustration every bit as much as you - the supporters.

We are all well aware that you will have expected more this season in terms of points but for the 90 minutes on Saturday please stick behind the team.

The more backing you give the players, the better the chance we have of getting the right result.

Your support undoubtedly makes a difference. Especially when you consider we have a young team out there.

No professional footballer likes to be injured at any time. But I'm struggling to think of a worst time to currently be sidelined with my hamstring injury.

Originally it was feared I could be out for six weeks but the good news is that I hope to be pushing for a recall again within two weeks. (good news for who?)

I paid a visit to a specialist in London who has given me a course of injections to speed up the healing process. So far so good and the injury is responding well.

I've been receiving plenty of treatment and I'm desperate to get back into the action and play my part, given the current league position we find ourselves in.

I've got to be careful not to rush back too soon but such is our current situation I'm desperate to play my part as quickly as I possibly can.

Isn't it more than obvious that danny tiatto does not say any of that?

It's all made up, some idiot is sitting there writing it all.

who agrees?

It's obviously written by some one else as im fairly sure that every player this season has said on the website "but the league table doesn't lie"

The first time I went to Cardiff was the year we won the League under Wallace. We won 1-0, a Bobby Smith 20 yarder (or was it 5? time plays tricks and all that....). Anyhow, upon entering the dump that is Ninny Park, a member of the OB said to me "enjoy the game, as you won't get out of here alive." What a twat.
