hmmm I'm sorely tempted by it. See how I feel a bit closer to KO

Looking at it another way - how about laying their opposition?

I've been meaning to ask this, what does lay betting actually do? Tried reading about it on Betfair but couldn't follow.

You are offering odds (on betfair - which is an exchange)

Effectively you are backing win/draw and laying an arsenal loss.

So you offer odds (very low odds) on their opposition to win. You set the maximum stake you will accept.

I do it a lot on golf etc which a lot of idiots bet on and you can make a fortune hole by hole. Arbing.

Be careful. Laying is often an easy way to make a bit of money, but make a mistake and it can cost a bundle.

Yeah I think that's why I will be staying clear of it to be honest.

I think Wolves will beat Barnsley. I like the rest though

Wolves - Barnsley is one not to touch. Barnsley on great form, having not lost in a while. Wolves look a bit more solid now and have a few potential matchwinners.

I'd be leaving that one off my coupon altogether.

Sorry - maybe that was a bit forceful. Its all just my opinion remember. Football is a funny old game and I usually don't bet on it at all.

Don't want to ward you off it and then for the bet to come in.

Have a look yourself and have the courage of your own convictions mate. I just wanted to point out that under Flitcroft Barnsley have really improved BUT that Wolves might well go there happy to take a point. You've probably noticed all that anyway.

For what its worth, if pushed, I'd back Barnsley.

i agree and thankful you brought it up, look how well Wolves played against us, if they play that well v Barnsley i can only see one result

I do reckon Barnsley will come back down to earth with a bump some time soon though. Flitcroft has worked miracles since he's gone in there. Their squad looks really really weak to me. Good work ethic but they need more quality.

Goodlookin Lucy and Mootabar both e/w for me 25/1 and 20/1 respectively.

I think Coverholder will go on the ground and is the most likely to win, but for me, in a field that large and price at around 6/4, I won't be backing.

Worth noting Prize Fighter is at good odds and has a CD win.

One further point is that Coverholder's last win was on the cards as it was in that window of being ahead of the handicapper, carries +16lb here today. I think there is enough doubt to oppose it - and then its really a case of take your pick, there is value everywhere.

Lamby, well done on Coverholder, which won.

Prize Fighter got a very respectable 3rd at 20/1.
