Lukeh Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 What was he on in the second half? Whatever it was i want some. Skining players, lovely executed passes, thought i was watching Carlos. Fair play to the lad, nice to him shine like he did today. New name .... SKILLS-Eric Johansson . Also shout out to Joey for some cracking goals, shame to see him leave at the end of the season. Oh yeah what the hell with Welsh? He did all the hard parts, just had to finish.
Willis Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 I thought Johansson played really well today. Did a bit of trickery on the edge of the box just before Gudjohnsson hammered home the winner. Can't remember if it was his assist though...

Jay Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 maybe it's because his position is under threat now we have another left back in the squad but if he plays like that then he doesn't have much to worry about!!
Anish Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Very accomplished performance from Johansson - came forward to good effect in the second half and played a part in the winner. I'm much more confident in him at LB than I was earlier this season.

Jonbluefox9 Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Better game from Johansson today. I think it's taken him all this time to realise that you don't get given time on the ball in this division. Use the ball or lose the ball.
spirefox Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 Lovely little drag back to set up the last goal.Looks a far better player with some midfield cover in front of him!
Thracian Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 His best game of the season so far, especially in an attacking sense. I had to rub my eyes at that spell of trickery up to and before he made the winning goal. Sadly he still doesn't convince me overall and neither does a defence which has conceded goals in all but one of its last 20 matches, and 32 goals in total fairly evenly spread during that spell. But I am not suggesting Nils is any worse than others for that record. Led by Hughes, we had four men chasing one before the cross from the Hull right which led to their first goal and, once again, no-one properly defending the post where the goal was scored. There's only two ways to deal with such things and it has not been an isolated problem. Either you cut out the source of the cross or you defend the result properly.
spirefox Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 We certainly looked very shaky yesterday.I think both Douglas and McCarthy have got to come straight back in next week.(with Gerrbrand the CB to go)
Thracian Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 We certainly looked very shaky yesterday.I think both Douglas and McCarthy have got to come straight back in next week.(with Gerrbrand the CB to go) Kisnorbo must have been sick to see two goals conceded. He was excellent in the air and in the challenge. I just wish Kelly would restrict him to 15 yards passes maximum once he gets the ball. But two goals against or not, we got three and I'd sooner have that that 0-0 anytime. We know City need two or three goals to win anyway. It will doubtless be the same at Luton.
gurkbasurken Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 Good to hear that at least one of the swedes are doing well! Today it was a big feature about them (Nisse and Totte Gerrbrand) in the biggest swedish daily paper (Dagens Nyheter). Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be on their website though. Gerrbrand said that he's had the season spoiled a bit according to his injuries, and now when he's healthy he's lacking of bad self confidence or something... And that the kind of rough football LCFC's been playing lately isn't the best for him... Gerrbrand also said that he enjoys the life in Leicester, with his girlfriend and the newborn baby Liam! Both of them focused a lot on the team, on a question about their hopes to be in the swedish national team in WC this summer Gerrbrand said "No, I don't think about that at all, maybe I did when I got here and hoped to be fit and able to play and do my best. At the moment I lay my thinking on helping to save Leicester in the league". Something like that... Cheers! /g

Ultra Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 We certainly looked very shaky yesterday.I think both Douglas and McCarthy have got to come straight back in next week.(with Gerrbrand the CB to go) I thought Henderson did OK yesterday. He made one superb save in the second half and had no chance with either of Hull's two goals. I'd prefer him to Douglas right now.

Cobbo Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 Did you write it down with a proof of date and/or copyright it?? I shall be contacting my lawyers. And then asking them not to represent me when they try to charge me pfft.

moseeds Posted 6 March 2006 Posted 6 March 2006 cheers mate! I can't wait for Gerbrand to be fit again, and for NEJ to show us a few more of those tricks he's been hiding up his sleeve for the whole of this season!!
Dr The Singh Posted 6 March 2006 Posted 6 March 2006 Attacking sense NEJ, did ok, but the whole of the defence looked shaky, they lacked real leadership, gerbrand lacking confidence doesn't help!!!
