I have more worries for players such as Hume, who's very exciting and always in the action.
securedfox Posted 13 March 2006 Posted 13 March 2006 hopefully next season he will put a bit more into it Hopefully he will put more effert into it for what's left of this season, never mind next? Understand what you mean about him being a bit lazy though, he looks uninterested at times, as if he's not trying which to me is the worst thing you could say about a footballer. Got tallent, But he's got to get stuck in a bit more IMO.
lcfcsoul66 Posted 14 March 2006 Posted 14 March 2006 I wish it was Williams leaving instead of Joey. Williams is the laziest player i've ever seen put on the Blue shirt! No passion! But if we can keep getting points i'm sure we can carry him till the end of the season! I heard Man City were interested round Chirstmas time?
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 March 2006 Posted 14 March 2006 Its quite obvious what will happen, he will stay here. Then at the start of next season he will play abslotuley amazing, then sign a pre contract with some second rate UEFA cup team. <_< Probabley Hibs.

Do not be surprised to see him play a blinder next season, he did it at Forest in his last season which earnt him a lucrative move to us. The bad thing is that he'll be over the age of 24 by then so we won't get a fee for him.
Bert Posted 14 March 2006 Posted 14 March 2006 I think he likes it here and will sign a new contract with us.

Hopefully he will be lazy + rubbish 90% of the time at his next club too.

Jonbluefox9 Posted 25 March 2006 Posted 25 March 2006 I might be reading too much into this but in Williams' latest interview on LC World he talks about Joey Gudjonsson and he says this: "He's had a fantastic season but he's off to pastures new at the end of the season. He's going out on a high note so good luck to him. I'll certainly be following him in the future." When he says "I'll certainly be following him in the future", he may mean he'll look out for AZ's results or he may mean "I'll certainly be following him out of the club in the future". Just a thought anyway.

holly Posted 25 March 2006 Posted 25 March 2006 thought he did better today against reading, he actually got stuck into a few challenges and ran a bit more!!
willy37 Posted 25 March 2006 Posted 25 March 2006 i think the spell out of time team did williams good. sinse kellys took over and gareth has been back in the team i think hes improved greatly. now he shows determination and actually got stuck in a bit today, even won a few headers! i think his style of football compliments hume and fryatt aswell. maybe next season he will shine!

Jonbluefox9 Posted 25 March 2006 Posted 25 March 2006 He even managed to take someone out today... Shame it was one of his team-mates!
Thracian Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 I just don't understand you all sometimes. The bloke had a perfectly good game today, covered lots of ground, set attacks in motion with controlled passing and we get robbed of a win against the runaway leaders because of a dubious corner and because of questionable tactics at the death. Since he's been back we've managed three wins and a draw against mainly decent opposition and we did sod all against Ipswich when he was just a sub. I don't think he's had a particularly good season but who did under Levein? I could also say that about Douglas, Johansson, Gerrbrand, Kisnorbo (midfield days), Maybury, Hughes, Tiatto, Hamill, Sylla and Hammond of the accepted squad. So why so much flak for Williams even when he plays well in what was, to my mind, a decent game to watch?.
Bert Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 Thracian, I think most comments made are Tongue-in-cheek as "we" are referring to how we are used to seeing him play.
