This place is pretty similar though, every message board has a 'group'. I bet it moust be hard on here for any newbie's to be noticed and taken seriously.

when i first came here, i thought i`d better see what type of people post here before posting myself. it didnt take long to realise its how you describe.

To be honest I don't think this forum has ever got going or ever will. The OS and talkingballs in it day were places that you could sit at your pc all day and night and not get bored. We had some right laughs.

Nothing funny happens on here, or we nevere get any good threads going, or if they do the controllers delete it.

There are too many people on here who have to take everything far too seriously and it just takes the fun out of it.

The OS in it's day was absolutely class. Like Teeno says, you could always be guaranteed to find something to make you laugh on a night in! There were good football threads and good random, non-football threads.

We were enjoying some happy memories of another message board. It's no slight on you... relax.

Erm I didnt actually say it was but Teeno says its not like this and not like that and you say various people make it no fun. Was merely asking why you/Teeno etc come on here. The OS was ok but it needs a major rehaul.

I'm not saying this place is shit, but in my opinion it's no where near as good as the OS and talkinbgalls two year ago or so. Everything has to be soo serious, threads allways merged or deleted etc. not having ago at anyone Kat, I like to come on here to read about the City, but that's about it. General chat has nothing worth reading.

Well I had posted on here a few times in the past, under various different guises but found the petty arguments a bit off-putting at the time. This was a fair while ago to be honest. I kept posting on the OS.

Due to technical limitations there, slowly, some of the posters whom I get on with well IRL started to move over to this forum, they include Lisa, Shum, Kerry, Jay, Janx, Deathside, Benji, Craig, Cobbo, Scowy, Luke, Carl.. and I'm sure that there are others. Anyway, I really started using this place when the OS was down for a bit.. it's also fine at work whilst the OS is a bit touch and go.

I find this site to be interesting, particularly on the football side of things. What people don't appreciate... and this isn't a slight on this site, it's just something I loved about the OS, is that there was so much going on then. We met up so much for football (playing and watching), drinking.. and all sorts. Forgive me if this is all sounding a bit wet and pathetic now.. I realise those times are gone... but I miss them.

I do find though... and this is to answer you Kat about my comments about people taking it too seriously, is that we always had a good bit of banter on the OS. On here, someone will soon throw their toys out of their pram. There are so many people who are willing to dish it out but can't accept a little back, even tongue in cheek.

Or maybe not. I don't know. Who am I to judge?

I'm here now.. and until someone bans me or I get bored or suddenly develop a life or a better work ethic, I'm here to stay.

here's a good example of what I''m saying. Last night about 8/9 memebers of this forum were involved in a mass msn convo, which was a great laugh. But years ago they'd be no need to use msn as it would have been in a thread. But on here as soon as anything slightly rude or off topic was said the thread would be closed or deleted.
