davieG Posted 11 May 2006 Posted 11 May 2006 About a dodgy Premier football manager/club, film mostly at the Ricoh. might be good might be crap.
Louise Posted 11 May 2006 Posted 11 May 2006 I thought it was ok, bit depressing. Not sure they got everything right though... Blame in wrong places etc.
davieG Posted 11 May 2006 Author Posted 11 May 2006 I thought it was good, in a depressing way. I thought the story line was reasonably realistic, if some what depressing, as you say. But I thought the characterisations, especially the manager were way, way over the top. Are we now going to see the proliferation of the 'c' word in every thing like we now have the 'f' word. He must have used it 15 to 20 times.
Dr The Singh Posted 12 May 2006 Posted 12 May 2006 I thought it was rubbish, it didn't work, the acting by alot of the characters were well over the top. A let down!!!
Ric Flair Posted 12 May 2006 Posted 12 May 2006 Ray Winstone is a genius. The programme was pretty poor but Winstone stopped it from dying on it's arse. I am still yet to see a crap film/tv programme with Ray Winstone in for many years. Got to be one of Britain's best actors in my eyes.
Ricey Posted 12 May 2006 Posted 12 May 2006 I saw the last hour of this and thought it was very good, over the top swearing aside I thought it stuck to the realism of Football very well.
Matt Posted 12 May 2006 Posted 12 May 2006 I feel asleep about half way through it. Can't really remember what was going on before I fell asleep so ain't got a clue what it was about or what happened really <_<
