Ultra Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 As I recall, he applied for a move to us but it was blocked by the Preston board.
Bert Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 As I recall, he applied for a move to us but it was blocked by the Preston board. Preston must see us as a bigger threat then
Gené and Tonic Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 Or Derby had more money, but I somehow doubt that. How the hell could they afford the compensation?!?
Bert Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 They've just been involved in some takeover scheme though, haven't they?
Guest Gist Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 I would be very pleased if I was a Derby fan, as much as I dislike them it is good of Davies to go there even after there bad season.
SystonFox Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 they will still finish bottom half i think. except idiakez and tommy smith they dont have the quality. i cant wait to go pride park and hope we beat them there this time.

No I disagree, they've got money now due to the takeover and a very good manager and unfortunately can see a playoff place at least for them next season
SystonFox Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 but what money will they spend? and who can they get that can set the championship alight? nobody i can think of really. mid table if lucky. trees however. relegation dogfight in league 1.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 2 June 2006 Posted 2 June 2006 We're now hemmed in on all sides by the Jocks. Calderwood at F***** and now Davies at the Sheep Shaggers. Good job we got rid of CL or else it would have been a takeover of the region.
NFFC Chris Posted 3 June 2006 Posted 3 June 2006 but what money will they spend? and who can they get that can set the championship alight? nobody i can think of really. mid table if lucky. trees however. relegation dogfight in league 1. Well if Roy Keane had been appointed maybe,I'll remember what you said and you'll look quite the fool this time next year I hope!
SystonFox Posted 3 June 2006 Posted 3 June 2006 ill remember that too and you'll look a fool. ex euro champs in league 1 for a 3rd season running. leicester back in the prem, derby struggling in championship and the other midlanders all mid table / play off hopefulls.

I do think we will be in league 2 for a third season, but won't be in a relegation batlle, sadly out of you and the sheep,I can see the latter having more chance of promotion
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 5 June 2006 Posted 5 June 2006 No I disagree, they've got money now due to the takeover and a very good manager and unfortunately can see a playoff place at least for them next season Dunno about a play-off place, the Sheep Shaggers don't have Preston's form atm but I think they will do well with Davies. It's all part of their re-vamp plan. Mid table finish maybe.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 5 June 2006 Posted 5 June 2006 I do think we will be in league 2 for a third season, but won't be in a relegation batlle, sadly out of you and the sheep,I can see the latter having more chance of promotion I expect us to get 7-12, and Derby mid-table. Neither of us have overwhelming odds at getting in the play-offs, but we'd certainly have the upper-hand. Who knows how Davies will handle Derby. We have a good formula in RK, and if we continue our late-season run we will certainly get 7-12. We even have some room to lose a few as long as we don't get carried away with expectations of scoring the Championship.
