The People's Hero Posted 7 June 2006 Author Posted 7 June 2006 I know how Nicky from BB feels - I'm not meant to have no money! I've chucked a load of clothes away recently because either they didn't fit me anymore or I never wore them or they were getting worn out etc. I now pretty much just have work clothes and really lack the money to buy new clothes. But I really want stuff. Pathetic.
stez Posted 7 June 2006 Posted 7 June 2006 there are many, many, many fashionable bargains to be found here
Rincewind Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 That is true and I'm not too proud to admit I have shopped there and other similar establishments on more than one occasion. Sometimes I have been scoffed at by friends who were the only child or had one other sibling so had reasonable upbringing but when you are one of five and the only breadwinner is your dad who is not only on a low wage but controls the housekeeping you learn to accept second best when times are hard.
The People's Hero Posted 8 June 2006 Author Posted 8 June 2006 there are many, many, many fashionable bargains to be found here I don't think there is one in Maidstone, although I stand to be corrected!
Master Fox Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Not being funny but that Paul Smith wallet is rubbish. I'm not knocking Paul Smiths label becuase I think it's pretty good but I wouldn't buy anything with the pinkish stripes on it, becuase it looks a bit gay.

Well if you're comforatable with your own sexuality who cares what it looks like, perhaps there's some latent tendencies you're fighting. Mind you I wouldn't buy it for £5
Master Fox Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Well, each to their own I suppose mate. I like it. It's fun. Well if you really like it and don't want to pay mega bucks have a look on e-bay becuase they have loads of Paul Smith stuff like that on there!
The People's Hero Posted 8 June 2006 Author Posted 8 June 2006 Ideally I want to pay about 2 quid for it. Not that bothered if it falls apart, I'll be bored of it by then anyway.

Not sure thats going to happen Jim, if you look on ebay people usually charge that for P+P on something like that and thats BEFORE the actual price they charge for the fecking thing - good luck with that
The People's Hero Posted 8 June 2006 Author Posted 8 June 2006 Ah well, I might just not bother. Sod paying ninety odd quid for the thing.
Katy Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Ah well, I might just not bother. Sod paying ninety odd quid for the thing. If you like it it's worth getting, it will just cost a tad more than a couple of quid with it being designer and all that like.
The People's Hero Posted 8 June 2006 Author Posted 8 June 2006 Looking back. Was this really worthy of a thread? I think not. Such a rebel.
Katy Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Looking back. Was this really worthy of a thread? I think not. Such a rebel. By your own admission TPH, there are far, far worse than this. You were asking an opinion about something nowt wrong with that.

That's true. This thread, now I think about it, stands like a beacon of pointfulness and worthiness amongst the dross and repetitive dullness which has become the norm in this once great forum.
