Steven Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 There are plenty of rumours on the Net that we have signed Ian Bennett. Not sure for how long yet.
Muz Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Says in the Mirror that he CL is after him on a free. He lives in my town aswell.Might go and knock on for him later and ask him if its true
City Fan Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 He's not that bad! Would be good enough for the championship, and then probably sub keeper in the prem...
Oli Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 He is a decent keeper, better than Pressman anyway!!
Muz Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 He recently turned down Sheff Utd he would come on a free or a very Nominal fee
Jonbluefox9 Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 which sites have got the rumor on 35311 It was on Radio Leicester this morning too.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 QUALITY GOALKEEPER....LETS GET HIM! BENNETT OR STUART TAYLOR FROM ARSENAL ARE BOTH GREAT ADDITIONS. BLUE ARMY!
davieG Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 QUALITY GOALKEEPER....LETS GET HIM!BENNETT OR STUART TAYLOR FROM ARSENAL ARE BOTH GREAT ADDITIONS. BLUE ARMY! 35320 Glad you like him but there's no need to SHOUT
Ricey Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Certainly better than Pressman, the jury is out though.
shen Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Ian Bennett is ok I guess... If we really are signing him as cover for Pressman then I'm a bit disappointed we haven't got a more recognized name in...
Scow Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 He's a good keeper to be fair. Always done a sound job for Brum when called upon. Well done to Levein if this proves to be true....
Teeno Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Me sisters x and me Brummie mate seem to think he's poor. Although Az (Amy's x) does say that he'd be brilliant at this level for us.
davieG Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Well who ever we get will most likely be sat on the bench, I can't see CL dropping Pressman as he's earned his place up to now.
shen Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Indeed... Pieman looks like he'll keep his place and to be honest, I doubt Bennett will force him away.
Teeno Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Well who ever we get will most likely be sat on the bench, I can't see CL dropping Pressman as he's earned his place up to now. 35456 True, despite 2 blunders he's done really well. I bet KP is well pleased he joined us, he'd of never guessed he'd get this many games.
Anish Posted 12 November 2004 Posted 12 November 2004 Would be good if he came - we need a reserve gk at the mo and I'm not very confident with Pressman still.
Guest Daniel Posted 13 November 2004 Posted 13 November 2004 Not a bad keeper to have in the squad but i doubt he's better than Pressman.
Anish Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 After yet another Pressman blunder, it's time that we got somebody else in. It has been stated many a time by me and others that Pressman cannot and does not command his box, and his aerial ability is simply not good enough. He cost us 2 points today IMO - we need to get a new keeper in fast.
Leicester_Mad Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 Pressman didnt jump for the goal today, but its not easy with 2 players almost on your back Ian Bennett is not the way forward IMO and we need to look for a younger keeper

You could argue the the rest of the team cost us 2 or 3 points by not scoring.
SilverFox Posted 14 November 2004 Posted 14 November 2004 It could be Rab Douglas...thats the latest rumour...season long loan!
