Father Ted Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 I've watched quite a bit of the tournament (sad isn't it) and Murray has been the best player on show.Nadal was way out of sorts, Federer is past his best and Djokovic is incredibly inconsistent with way too many unforced errors. The future of tennis? 1. Nadal 2. Murray 3. Djokovic 4. Del Potro Fed will hold on near the top for a while yet though. Murray is probably the best hard court player in the world now actually. Fully deserved I have to agree with Djokovic. Being Serbian, I am a massive Nole fan but he just doesn't always produce the goods. When he's on form he is unbeatable and probably the best in the world but when he's off form or simply played a few bad shots his head drops and he just struggles. If Djokovic was to bulk up and become fitter and faster like Murray I have no doubt that Nole is easily a future World no.1

There I go again. Sorry Milky. You do realise the draw is based on seeds? It's designed so that the best players get to the latter stages! Seeds 1 and 2 can't meet until the final. In fact the top 8 seeds can't meet until the quarters. The notion of an easy draw to reach the quarters is laughable. You get the draw your ranking has earnt.

Djokovic will overtake him by winning the Serbian Open. Also, if rumours that Murray will take a 'rest' because he feels he is mentally tired then it will leave a gaping hole for Djokovic to exploit and push on for 2nd place. Djokovic has proved that he is better than Fed by beating him in the semi's in Rome.
